X Installer Beta - for CFW 3.71+

greg | September 3, 2008

Continuing along the direct-to-PSP line is Klutsh with his newly released homebrew app, which in itself downloads homebrew apps — and games, too. All that and more downloaded/installed direct to your hand-held.

X Installer Screenshot

X Installer is currently beta, so expect the unexpected. For one — X Installer will re-download updates over and over again, homebrew as well. Otherwise, if/when the remote end is updated with more ‘brew and improved versions are available; you’ll find interest in this app.

Is this better than Install-o-tron v1.0

or does it have the same homebrew to download?

For now, there isn’t much, it’s a Beta.

Get the bug’s out before filling it with 100’s of titles. :P

The First Uploaded archive was packed wrong, the eBoot is placed in the /PSP/GAME/ folder, instead of a sub folder.

…Any why dont we just download the homebrew the normal way? I find these apps useless. You can jusu use ur psp browser and download ur homebrew. In any case it would be better to have a psp formatted site that holds all the homebrew instead of a homebrew that downloads homebrew….

I really like where this is going (app wise)

But I also like what “Kilogold” just said!
A site you can go to on your PSP to look at,read info about all and anything App’s/Emus/vids/games anything!

That would be cool!

I agree, however you would still need homebrew to ‘un-zip’ it, unless you planned on downloading all required files to install the Homebrew.

well to unzip it you can use PSPfiler

Thats true, but I was pointing to Kilogold’s comment about homebrew to download homebrew.

You still would need either a PC or some Homebrew to un-zip the files.

So having it all in 1 Homebrew makes more sence, to me anyhow.

Yeah. A PSP Site to download stuff would be nice. I wonder if a unzip application exists.

This is a genius idea I agree. Hope you get all the bugs worked out soon because this is going to be the next biggest thing, that’s for sure. Just think of the possibilities….You could update it to have a movie and music and themes and such sections too.
