yes i have noticed this as well, technically what i think happened is that he mapped the operation feature the lock keypad feature on the same option scheme (meaning that if you press up like says while pressing the hold button it will just lock the keypad, but also in the readme he stated that this also is how you activate the feature to turn the screen off but still be able to operate), also in the problem could be with the flash, maybe like macspoofer it's need to changes the order of sequence in the flash for it to work properly, meaning that when you push down the hold by itself the flash still tells it to lock the keypad which it shouldn't if the prx works right

I have a problem with this. It says I should be able to use the normal fuctions of the PSP while using hold like increase volume or skip tracks. It does not let me do this.

While the plugin works great, its just I would also like to be able to skip around tracks and control my volume too.

alright guys seriously stop the noob fight he goofed his fault no one elses, by the the way your psp is not completely lost, alright download orginal flash0 folders (with the complete files included) from your model (ie. slim or phat) online, goto recovery mode, then click "advanced" now make sure your psp is connected via usb, now click on "toggle usb (flash0)" you should now see you computer bring up the flash0 folder of you psp on your moniter, now copy ALL the downloaded original flash0 folders and files to your psp flash0 folder, selecting to overwrite everything and after it's done, toggle off the "toggle usb (flash0)
and restart and their you go, you shouldn't have anymore problems

ps. this meant to flash only in flash0, if you touched flash 1, 2, or 3 you can brick your psp permanently and be screwed

to add to my last post... the same applies to GAME.txt and POPS.txt... you can only have 5 lines in each of these files...

keep this in mind if you ever have a plugin that won't work and you can't figure out why... you may just have too many plugins. Also, some devs will tell you to add a path in VSH.txt AND GAME.txt even when it isn't necessary. If you have too many plugins and want to add more... evaluate the plugins you already have and where you use them and you'll be able to see if some of these lines are unnecessary. All in all, there's nothing you can do to brick your PSP in experimenting with plugins unless they access the flash, which is pretty rare as far as plugins go. So the assh0le that bricked his PSP (if he even did) needs to stop trying to place the blame on someone that's created an awesome plugin with great usefulness.

make your own VSH.txt... just add a line at the top of the filepath to the prx

in other words, put the prx in you seplugins folder which will be in your root)and then create a text file named VSH.txt.

On the top line of this file, type:
ms0:/seplugins/hold.prx

save it and drop the VSH.txt file in your seplugins folder. The VSH.txt file makes it so the plugin shows up in plugins when you go to your recovery menu (by holding R Trigger when turning your PSP back on from a full shutdown, not from sleep mode)
make sure that hold.prx is enabled in the recovery menu and that's that.

For future reference... the VSH.txt is just a text file with the path to each of your plugins... you can only have 5 lines in this file. You can have the plugin anywhere on your memorystick, as long as you have the correct path in the VSH.txt GAME.txt and POPS.txt are the same concept. VHS.txt enables a plugin in the XMB and when you're in sony's official photo viewer/music player etc. GAME.txt enables a plugin in game and POPS.txt enables a plugin in PSX games. In general, this can used to your advantage (for example, a plugin designed for use in GAME.txt can be used on the XMB screen if you put the path in VSH.txt) I hope all of this helped you understand this all a little bit better.
