The force is strong with Dark_AleX as he unveils “Despertar del Cementerio” version 7 — the universal unbricker for both Fat and Slim PSP owners.
Recover a PSP turned paperweight, perform an immediate upgrade to custom firmware 4.01 M33-2, and now repair a corrupt or missing idStorage. In addition to all that, version 7 comes with a little finesse allowing control over the PSP/UMD region.
Consult readme.txt for installation and other details concerning the new features. As well, Demonchild keeps an informative DC tutorial. It’s all at your fingertips.
Despertar del Cementerio v7 changes:
- A format flash function has been added which is useful to correct problems for some that get an error when installing 4.01 M33, or to have a custom partitioning of the flash.
- An idstorage tools function has been added. It allows to create a new idstorage (including for first time, the regeneration of region and umd keys), change region (including umd region), or fix wlan mac address.

So if I had waited another month or two after screwing up my idstorage I would have had 90 bucks more in my wallet lol, oh well. So does this also hack the “unhackable” motherboards that are out?

OMG! Is Dark-Alex a god?! IDstorage reborn! A friend of mine had gotten his id keys corrupted and I was only able to recover part of his psp keys by using Homemister’s keys. It sounds cool! “This will destroy your current idstorage” Destroy and be reborn!
wtf is idstorage….?
It’s the little things that basically label the hardware. Each is unique. If you loaded your id storage into another PSP, it wouldn’t work for online or reading UMDS.

Just restored my Fat PSP Idstorage. Couple months ago I accidently dumped my friend psp image (SLIM PSP)to my psp (Fat PSP), it’s screw up the UMD drive, would not read UMD game at all, it had not worked since…NOW IT IS WORKING….THANKS SUPER DAX…without you, my First edition FAT PSP is still in my drawer catching dust. THANKS AGAIN….SUPER DAX.

All I can say is WOW my sons psp has been missing is id storage and this fixed it. Amazing job and great work. Thanks so much.
I used to have a corrupted id storage I fixed it before DA launch the DC7(ability to regenerate IDS) i used the homemister idstorage but i replace the files using my friends ids with the same mobo. i get my mac address back, umd works properly, wlan is ok.. but the home key is not working anymore, this function has been located at note button is there any idea how to reassign my home key and note button? thanks and more power Dark Alex
What’s this about being able to hack the new motherboards? I have a GoW REd PSP (bought on release date) and I can tell you that’s not the case.
At launch, I got a GoW Red PSP for my nephew, and I had no problems hacking it. You are doing something wrong.
i too have a red GoW psp, hacked it the second i took it out the box without ANY problems whatsoever. props Dax on ANOTHER great release
Okay, then what are you guys doing that’s working? I successfully hacked my Red PSP when I got it, but I can’t make a Pandora Battery. Any PB Tool that I try to make with my PSP tells me this is too new a version of the PSP and I cannot make a Pandora battery. What are you guys doing with this unbricker that’s allowing you to use Pandora???

So in theory you could purposefully brick your 4.05 and use this to restore to 4.01 m33-2.
TA-88v3 is still a no go. Just a matter of time till Dark Alex pulls another DC :). Go Go Go. Sony doesn’t stand a chance.
