Pirata Nervo returns to the homebrew scene with a freshly ground version of NervOS — the self-proclaimed “PSP world’s most awesome shell.”
NervOS is indeed awesome and without a doubt one of the best. So grab it while it’s hot — NervOS version 2.1.
See the release thread (below) for NervOS’ complete changelog; 2.1 packs a solid 105 new/changed features. No joke.
Also, ensure you reference the included documentation for details on installing, usage, bypassing the XMB on boot-up, and anything & everything relating to NervOS.

Also i still hate the interface, it’s slow and clunky.

by the way, about slow, just set cpu to 333 mhz and select the 3rd gui which is circular and fast.
about the “clunky”, what do you think its clunky?
You realize it’s spelled “awesome” like the other guy mentioned. Also, you misspelled “spelled” which is beyond me how you can mess that up.
Spelled / Spelt is an American English vs. the rest of the world English issue. Either is totally ok. And the poster fixed “awsome” which is awesome. :D

and no it does not have a video player, exit NervOS and play your movies from the XMB

could someone please post the diiferences between this shell and the ir shell, i’m making a choice right now on which to install, also to has anyone heard any rumors about windows os for the psp there used to be tons of rumors about them and a special shell that let you do it, but all the rumors i seen went dead and all the topics disappeared about them?

i know that this does not emulate windows but i was asking if it was possible besides my first question about the acutal shell (i didn’t think i needed to seperate my questions with the enter bar obviously i was wrong)
I guess this isn’t really aimed at Pirata Nervo but at the theme designers. You have some themes that look really good until you have a certain groupof icons that don’t match the theme or the other icons. This issue doesn’t apply to all the themes in the theme pack but it does apply to most of them. What I’m saying is the themes would look much better if they had a full and complete matching icon set.
yeh it’s not definetly aimed to me :P
I only made one theme for NervOS which is called Black&Red
remember one thing, if an image is not found, NervOS uses the image from the Original theme
im sorry even though this shell sounds pretty good it could never defeat irshell
actually this one is very capable of “defeating” irshell, whatever the hell that means. this guy has frequent updates and it may take a while but it’ll get there if he stays with it. irshell is done…no more updates. this guy could use irshell as a base for his project and then add even more features. so please get off of his sack : )
