sweet, i wanted to make some 3.90 m33 themes for awhile
Awesome! This thing is off the hook!
omg, thanks and keep up the good work :)
yeah this is a stunning app for tweaking your xmb very nice indeed, just one thought can it load ctf themes?
Thanks, going to check this out now. It sounds pretty sweet!
add my name on ur psn… ur xmb editor is the shit!!! thank u!
When i boot up the XMBeditor. I get an Error ” Error: Bad Argument #3 to ‘print’ (color Expected, got nil) Press Start to Restart”
How do i fix?
I keep getting this same error. I dont know why it is happening over and over again. No one seems to be helping much at qj.
re-install xmb editor, if dis happens again den manually flash ur themes
is this good for 3.71 m33-4?
We’ll see.
its for 3.90m33 if you wanna be safe only use it with that
how do i downgrade to 3.90 im at 3.90-3
taptap, you still are at 3.90 just updated to M33-3 so you can use this app no problems.
cool now i dont have to hex edit in making personalized xmb themes
For the people getting errors:
Turn your kernel to 3XX in Recovery ;)
~ shizzy
It gave me a semi-brick…
Then you have to be more careful when using apps that write to flash.
Always make a back up of your flash before using apps like this. The recovery or XMB menus of your cfw will allow you to mount your flash on your PC using USB.
the program takes a flash backup when you first use it. then all you have to do in recovery is “Run prgrogram at ms0:/psp/game/RECOVERY/eboot.pbp” it’s that simple
Nice… Can’t wiat to start using this.
For thr people asking for help with this why not go to the help forum?
When version for 3.93 is going to be released?
flash ur themes manually
Got a Simi-Brick from using the Files that where Included with the download. O.o
love this homebrew saves alot of time and im using a fake 8gb card and works pefect thanks :D
Yeah, so I’m relatively new to hacking, I was wondering how do I get it onto my PSP, I downloaded the program but what do I do now?
“what do I do now?”
You delete it until you learn more about flashing and, more importantly, how to recover a bricked PSP.
Hmm…very nice, but the first time I flashed anything with it, I semi-bricked (half of the XMB mods included seem to do this). After I got over that using the included recovery, my Internet Browser is all corrupted (the top half of fonts in the frame are cut off and the OSK has weird graphical glitches), although it seems to display pages much neater and in smaller-than-small, crisper fonts. Does that mean I have to completely re-flash 3.90M33?
thats because you dont have enough free room. or the kernel isnt on 3xx
Thanks for the help. It turns out that the ‘XMB theme recovery’ option wasn’t fully restoring something, so after restoring all the font files one-by-one with the recovery program, and then doing a full recovery, everything seems back to normal. It’s too bad though that any XMB customization I do messes up my Internet Browser.
used it a couple of times so far and it works great! i’ve had no problems.
WTF is a semi-brick.
Is that one of those hollow bricks you hide your house keys in?
yes
a semi brick is when you corupted or delate a file in the flash and your psp cant boot to the xmb but you can still access the recovery menu
posted by bottmint at pspupdates
the screwed up browser text is caused by flashing a custom menu click/custom info bar. its not caused by the custom font (although some fonts can exceed the limit and have characters disappear). if you make your own theme dont flash a custom click sound/info bar if you use the web browser frequently.
true, happened here but fixed with pandora
-blazr
i cant run it. i have 3.90-3 it says “error: bad argument #3 to ‘print’ (color expected, got nil) start to restart” i cant get it to go. any help pls
hey i have a topmenu_plugin.rco that has the halo icons from an older fw version. when i change the name to topmenu_icon.rco and flash it, the icons are there and xmb works fine until i go to the right and up to the rss. then it freezes. i suppose this is because my older version didn’t have the extras that 3.90 has in it so it freezes. i tried to edit it with rco editor, but i am lost. how can i add the extra icons so it wont freeze??
help mi psp is stuck on 1 theme it dosent work T.T
help mi psp is stuck on 1 theme it dosent work T.T it cant access the ms or games and music neither it just stuck what can i do im lost with out mi psp T.T the recovery menu cant be opened T.T
pandora is your friend
I think this site needs more ads. They could ad another sidebar and ad another two 728 x 30 banners.
With Firefox and AdBlock Plus I see exactly zero ads.
exactly
This is a really good app no problems and yes i tried doing the recovery of my ole flash without any problems so u ppl that are really new to flashing and came here when pandora came out ! Will be spoiled by not any dealings with the old ways when u had to be careful n also take educated risk when flashing it take preparation !
ODV out!
This App is really great.
Although i got a semi brick at first time. But the app creates a recovery file so u can just enter the recovery console and restore all to the original state. Its just as simple as that.
Peace!
This is one of the best apps I have ever seen. Makes it very easy to make your psp unique. Awesome job
Well, customization has never been easier. It’s too bad that background flashing doesn’t work for me (I get a white background or semi-brick) and any other sort of XMB mod messes up the Internet Browser for me. Yes, fresh 3.90M33-3 install, and yes, 3.90 kernel.
I need Help!!!
I think i semi briked the psp. the internet browser is messed up and the fonts in psptube is so small. I recovered everything in this application and i still have the same problem. i deleted and re installed and recovered again but it still didn’t work.
You have to manually recover each font file in the Recovery program (ltn0.pgf, apotp.dic, atokp.dic, aux0.dic, aux1.dic, aux2.dic, aux3.dic, jpn0.pgf, kr0.pgf, gb3s1518.bwfon, and then recover ltn0.pgf a second time). Do this right after customizing the XMB, and don’t flash custom fonts. If you flash custom XMB sounds, you will also have to recover the resources: htmlviewer_plugin.rco, osk_plugin.rco, osk_utility.rco, htmlviewer.res; and the module files: htmlviewer_plugin.prx, netfront.prx, and osk_plugin.prx.
I still need help!
I got a brick after my password was accepted in protect me did this happen to anyone else?

I had a problem I tried to restore the default settings and when I start I says that the settings are corrupt press o to continue and then I push it and just says that again please Help!!!
use pandoras battery dats ur only option, i hav unbricked/downgraded 36 psps with pandora a success everytime
please help the blue screen still there!!!!!!!!
use pandoras battery
b careful dis destroys ur internet browser.
if u get a brick/semi/ or blue screen den use pandora 2 fix it. if u want these mods den flash manually, dats wat i did.
ah its me again pandora’s battery wont even work for me because of protectme…nothing but black…protectmee…more like screwed me… oh well ill keep working at it Im thinking of adding new files to recovery…
-TKG
I have a semibrick it’s possible to fix it with the recovery eboot I found one to donwgrade it to 1.5 Does this thing work on 3.90m33-3?
Hey Thanks dude.!
i was looking for such things like this :)
Keep up the good hacking ;)
I just used pandora to fix it’s better don’t use fonts again but is very good though.
Well i need some serious help!!!!
I put the Themes and MODs folder into my root and the program and recovery itself in PSP/GAME…
so when i turn my psp on i can see the program and the recovery logo at my MS
now the problem comes…
… when i start up the XMB Editor and then i choose ”Create Theme” and then an error is coming:
” Error: Bad Argument #1 to getn <table expected, got nill”
Press start to restart
What the hell do i need to do..!/ i’m totally confused at the moment…
i tried re-install the app and i used my pandora 3.90 m33-3, but nothing helps
so if someone or maybe u ”Mr. Shizzy” can help me and the others to fix this problem ure most welcome :)
Please post here and send me an e-mail how to fix this, cause i can’t go on internet everyday….
U can send me the problem fix by the following email adress:
Angel-0f-Death89@hotmail.com <>
Thank you guys and specially u mr Shizzy for creating stuff like this :)

Angel-of-Death - that error means that either on of the MOD folders are missing or empty.
Check the gameboot folder, b/c some sites uploaded it without any gameboots.
Or it could mean the file structure is somehow wrong.
Make sure the “Themes & MODS” folder is on the root of Memory stick. And inside that should be 2 folders.
1 - Themes
2 - MODS
Maybe you have too many folders (from extracting) ??
Make sure its not ms0:/Themes & MODS/ Themes & MODS/
^^^ That could cause it too.
I’ll also send you an email with this info.
Hope it helps
~Mr. Shizzy
Aha i see thanks,
it works now, everything is loading except 2 things…
1: The custom background is gone (White background)
2: The wave is missing ( A friend of my uses this app also and it works 100% correct on his fat psp)
how can i fix this problem?

to everyone… do not try updating your psp to CFW 4.01 when your under this homebrew coz’ it will semi/brick your psp on restoring default XMB. maybe what you should do first is to restore the default XMB first hand before updating to CFW4.01
Agree with that
