CWCHEAT 0.2.2 REV. C Released
greg | June 9, 2008
Weltall returns with a brand new CWCHEAT revision. REV “C” primarily focuses on cleaning up the situation created with REV “B” and fixing other various problems. It’s all detailed in the changelog below.
And for those who continue asking the question, “is there a Game Shark equivalent to cheat PSP games?” Yes, you’re looking at it. Cheat each and every PSP title, as well as PSOne game under POPS emulation, using Weltall’s CWCHEAT. Read the documentation to get started.
CWCHEAT 0.2.2 REV. C:
- [ALL] Fixed a timing bug which could lead to the dump function not working after enabling the usb mass device. this is because the memory stick device wasn’t mounted when the dump was taking place: making the function fail.
- [ALL] Removed some optimizations which made some regressions (rev b’)
- [ALL] Changed slightly the behaviour of pointers codes. now the q part is effectively useful by itself (this change is be needed for upcoming cheats)
- [ALL] Now if connected to a hotspot like connection (so a connection requiring the browser to login in the network), the db downloader will automatically open the browser to let you login upon connection. Making so possible to download the database through this type of hotspot (available only on 3.x build)

I have just one thing to say about this:
Best App Ever!!!
I wish there was a way to expand CWCheat support to other popular emulators, like SNES9x TYL and gPSP.
Still, love the app.
it is possible all u have to do is make your own codes i got it running on gpsp and snes emulator
yes, emulation compatibility would make this app perfect.
Feature Request?
Hey There,
I’ve used the application at the novice level.
I can load cheats.
I can make some simple cheats … like find heath / money …
And increase health / money …
It seems to me the this kind of application ought to be able to …
Replay a set of button codes to unlock a cheat embeded by the dev.
You know the kind that I’m talking about:
up up down down left left right right
all while holding down left and right shoulders
This could be a lame idea.
Just seemed like it would be nice to be able to library those off as well.
And would allow ppl w/ lesser skills to archive off some codes.
Heck, this sweet little application might already do this.
I’d be interested in hearing any thoughts.
Please don’t take this post as being disrespectful.
It is by far the best utility out there.
And I wouldn’t leave home w/o it.
Cheers
You can do this in CWCheat! Integrated into the application is a program called RemaPSP, which you should see when you open up the in-game CWC menu. You can program a “macro” to do exactly what you just said: hit the L trigger and have that enter a sequence of down, up, left, left, O, right, down (you get the idea). It’s fully customizable so have at it.
I’d like to see some documentation on RemaPSP.
But so there’s no misunderstanding,
I don’t want the l-trigger & r-trigger to trigger the “macro”. I want part of the macro to be to simulate that the l-trigger and r-trigger are pressed … while pressing the other key combo.
After having tried using this feature. It seems that it would be nice to “record” a macro while in the menu … vs. typing it all out.
Cheers
You’re going to have to map to macro to one of the buttons. It doesn’t have to be L or R, it could be anything. I may not be understanding what you’re saying though, haha… Wouldn’t be the first time. Either way, good luck.
I guess what I’m saying is:
Where is the documentation so that I can RTFM.
you can use cwcheat with almost every emlators. =cwcheat150.prx= use the cheat searcher function
The concept of searching for your own cheats is completely lost on me. Every time I’ve tried to read up on it, I get lost after like 3 sentences, LOL.
I was hoping for some sort of emulator compatibility where I could just take, say, an existing GBA Gameshark code and just pop it into CWC and have it work. Unless I can do that and I’m a moron?
this isn’t possible to provide specific builds for various reasons:
1- emulator won’t tell what rom is loaded
2- supporting cheats for such old things (when emulator have also their own cheat system which works fine if you know how to use them…) requires rewriting a cheat engine for each – definitely not worth it
3- each emulator will have a different position for game ram this makes a specific build being able to adress only a specific build of a specific emulator.
it’s teorically possible to convert them but you must first find were the ram for the emulated machine starts and then subtract/sum offsets. the best way is searching them from scratch.
Yeah, see, whatever you said in that last paragraph almost made my brain explode! But I get what you’re saying, and more or less understand the deal.
CWC is a fucking awesome app either way!
it is possible all you have to know is that the cwcheats works with the game id there for the id is the emulator id and then all u have to do is when u add the code to the database u put the name of the game and wut the code does its easier done then said lol
bricked my psp… im using 3.90 m33… got it working again…
But now wen i plug my psp into computer it says it cant find disk drive??? but when i go on ‘my computer’ its there but wont let me access??? any clues???
format the memory stick? anyway this is off topic as cwcheat can’t do these things :P
um fuck this program because people hack on socom with it so fuck welltell or whatever his name is but good job wasting your time
dumbass, we use NitePR to cheat on socom, not this.
Hey Noone dont blame Weltall. People are a-holes. He tells people not to cheat online but in the end its their choice. He has no influence on their decision.
Ermmm NOONE relax ur self …go out and get some fresh air or something its only a game not ur life…go try and get a girlfriend or someting…haha if u can even manage that without asking ..” what level of socom are you on”
I love the program I tried using the cwcheat on the psp with the psx game final fantasy 7 but the in game menu didnt show up any clue ? thanks in advance
hi, just wanna ask why its not working on my unit 3.71 m33-2…i enabled the plugins but then when i press the Select button in-game nothing happens…someone help please
you have to hold the select button….
I have POPS running FF7 on my phat psp running 3.90 m33-2 and for some reason I can load every macro and such from the easy to use menu, EXCEPT the only function that I’m after, which is turbo…It seems any button I asign with a ~ instead of a + no longer works. I’m using CWC 0.2.2 REV C and still no luck.
Any ideas? I’ve been all over this on my PSP and all over google for hours. Assistance would be greatly appriciated…I’ll donate if you can help me with this ;)
