PSP Pileup v0.2 Released
greg | May 18, 2008
A new contestant has stepped foot in the Homebrew Idol arena, welcome Sangheili. Sangheili has come up with something you may already recognize in arcade form –

Yup, that’s Stacker all right — the game you’ve likely spent many pissed off hours in front of down at Philthy McNasty’s on King and John. Sadly, that machine isn’t there anymore. But that’s neither here nor there… This is Sangheili’s PSP Pileup — stack ‘em bricks to the top while maintaining your cool and quick reaction time.
The game is played with your PSP standing vertical; power switch towards you. Levels get increasingly faster as you go on; you’re also given the option to specify difficulty — easy, medium, or hard. Press X to lay the brick and continue piling them, one on top of the other.

Looks interesting and worth a shot!
Hola Sangheili. Nice work. Front page. I’ve nearly finished the graphics :D
Awesome! I’ve played this a lot when I go to my local funplex arena. Nice…now I will practice free and help win the BIG one!!!
uh, sorry to bust the thrill but , you know stacker is rigged right?
oh yeah, no doubt it’s rigged for sure. the machine is configurable. so it’s up to the owner to set whatever.
this one isnt rigged, i made sure it isnt, but it still might stuff up once in a while
ya stacker is rigged, i have spent tens of dollars and time trying to win but everytime i get to the last block its always one over…. =[
i just wish that the psp version of stacker isn’t rigged. :)
oh btw, here’s a pdf explaining how it is rigged. pretty much what greg said.
http://shafferdistributing.com/manuals/lai_Stacker_SKILL_1st-Ed_manual.pdf
page 12.
That PDF doesn’t actually say its rigged, it says that the difficulty has about that number of wins per try’s based on peoples reaction speeds.
IMO though…its rigged
well, if you read it closely, i teaches the owner of the machine on how to rig it.
All SWP (Skill with prizes) machines are rigged, but not in the way in which you might think. It is a legal requirement in most countries to fix the payout odds above a certain percentage, to ensure fair play.
thanks for all your praise, please tell me if you want any more additions to it,
W.I.P Gore mode, music player, high scores
and also, theres an easter egg to find it it, but it pretty much concerns my cousin in malaysia, so if you find it you can have the satisfaction of thinking that you found something so-one else did.
also i hope that its o.k that i forgot to send my contact details.
tell me if i should send a seperate email with them in it.
I found that sometimes when i press X, it doesn’t react to it, like, the blocks keep going, and other times it takes it as 2 hits
I have actually beat this game in real life twice, there is a few tricks to it, but it has made me money selling the prizes
i beat it once on my first try could never beat it again
it sucks beating on your first try, because then you think you can always get it and you blow tons of cash
I tried this, it isnt that great.
Sure the actual game is rigged,
But ive seen people winning Ipods, PSPs , Cheap digital cameras , and I think someone at a local bowling alley won a 50$ giftcard
