Beats Off v0.1 Released
greg | May 13, 2008
Still beatin’ off to the same ol’ thing? For all the Beats fans out there, why not switch it up with something new…
Now jam your own beats with the PSP game, “Beats.” JBrown has managed to successfully load and play custom compiled BJS files using his new cross-platform app, “Beats off.” The package includes the Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X versions.
Huh, say what? Read our previous coverage on JBrown’s progress.

And on another note…
…FreePlay and I have been desperately trying to figure out the unknown values found in the header of BAR files. From what it looks like, they’re related to the file name, as the manifests always have the same value, but the others change per the name of the folder. If we figure out how to encode our own names, it’ll be possible to add content to Beats as opposed to replacing it.
Instructions for use; see readme.txt. Also, I strongly encourage you visit the source link to enlighten yourself of the current limitations.

Er, I forgot to mention. Despite the screenshot, Beats Off is multiplatform; it runs in Windows and Linux too!
oh, oops, didn’t even notice the Windows and Linux versions are included with the package.
Beatin’ Off? .vag files? Come on you guys aren’t even trying.
coolll app… i love beats =] good luck with those bar files
“Still beatin’ off to the same ol’ thing?”
lol
lol.
seriously Greg, what the hell.
Hahaha… Greg, thanks for that. I just woke up and it was a great way to start the day lol…
I dont understand what this does. Make your own like Keys for a song or..what?
This allows you to add your own loops for Beats Jamming mode where you can trigger them and build up a song in real time. If you have the game, try out one of the included Jams to get a feel for how to use it.
Isn’t PspRhythm better than this?
PSPRhythm is good for sequencing and creating loops. This is more of a live remix tool, if that makes any sense.
Ah… kk TY ^-^
I’m sure greg is beating his small thing time and time again.
Have a question, since really Beats been hacked. And soon enough you can add content instead of replacing it.
I play DJ Max Portable 1 & 2. Would you or anyone can figure out a way to make our own DJ Max Portable with our own songs just like PSPRevolution?
doesnt beating off mean something completely different. like JACKING OFF?! or was this pun intended?
The pun was intentional.
btw beatsoff works with VAG files and BJS too :)
giggle away kiddies :)
HAHA
ill try this out ^_^
