Here are some worthwhile updates while I was MIA for most of the weekend: ZX-81’s AFKIM (Away From the Keyboard Instant Messenger) v3.3.4 and custom firmware 3.93 Update #2. The latest CFW update removes Hellcat’s “Savegame Deemer;” that is now distributed separately.
AFKIM 3.3.4 changes:
- Fix issue with ICQ / AOL account icon / login stuff (due to bitlbee server changes)
- Fix IR keyboard issue with fw >= 3.80 for FAT PSP (thanks to Angelo)
- Fix online status issue
CFW 3.93 Update #2:
- Select button probelm on Sony Keyboard has been solved.
- HellCat’s save game deemer has been deleted.
Savegame Deemer:
This is a small CFW plugin that will make the PSP to save any savedata in unencrypted form as well as the usual way.
The unencrypted savedata can then be directly edited with whatever tools you use for tasks like that (mostly a hexeditor, I’d guess ;-) ) and on the next load those (edited) unencrypted data is loaded and off you go :-)

Im new to custom firmware and have only got to 3.90 m33 and cant see any major benefits of this new version are there any?
And AFKIM is great… Its programs like that that make me still use my psp
i’ll only wait for Dark Alex’s custom firmware,
not using this one after that last one bricked many.
so is m33 firmware considered DAX firmware?
M33 is DAX if you were reading the news when they released 3.71 M33 :D

i dunno why but i get the feeling that DAX is creating some crazy sutom firmware for the next update and i feel that the slim might be gtting like 1.50 kernel built in and if thats really true i would have to say i told u so on this comment !! ;) anyways yeah if thats really happening then ill be so happy
ive been using this custom firmware since i dunno since 3.90m33 and well it works flawlessly for me and if u know how to install it manually and read the directions the right way and follow them unlike some people u will be fine
