PSP-Maps v1.1 Released
greg | May 1, 2008
Royale hittin’ homebrew homers with yet another PSP-Maps release. Version 1.1 introduces experimental and basic KML support; this allows for additional display information on maps, such as: directions, points of interest, custom markers, etc…
And I should mention Royale’s PSP-Maps (v1.0+) is an official entry in our ongoing Homebrew Idol competition.

KML support:
- Create a kml/ directory in your PSP-Maps folder.
- Copy the .kml files in this directory.
- Currently, it only supports “Points” and “Lines”.
- If you create an .png image with the same name as your KML file, it will be used to replace the default marker.
- You can easily create directions with this link (replace the towns in the URL): http://maps.google.com/maps?output=kml&
saddr=toulouse&daddr=paris

First XD
Update already? Dayum…
how is it guys? i wanna know if it’s worth downloading. is it stable? thanks!!!
I have been using the version 1 on my slim 3.90 and it did what I wanted. I’ll look forward to taking this one for a spin. :) Nice work.
It keep freezing on my Phat 3.90. I’ll go back to v1.0
Sorry dudes… but does this need the GPS reciever thingy…!? Abit of a noob to this app…!
No it does not need a GPS receiver. It requires you have connection to a Wireless Network, and also that you have CFW:D
What the heck is this big 5.8MB “pspmaps.gpu” file found in the zip file, anyone?
It is the GP2X version, you can remove it if you want to save some space :)
Don’t know. GPPU stands for Graphic Processing Unit. But I don’t think it stands for it here:S
umm, 5.8mb isnt really that big
No, but it could be funny to know what it is
I need help!!! How do I open it on my psp?
if you have CFW 3.90 you need to place it to:
MS ROOT/PSP/GAME380
you must create GAME 380 folder
Pretty sick, I like that it has directions, but I think it would be even better if the step by step directions were on the side of the screen.
