PReSS 0.3 Released

Still unsatisfied with Sony’s RSS implementation? Still looking for a viable alternative? Look no further as The Underminer prepares to blow your mind apart with PReSS (Portable RSS) version 0.3.

Recognize — PReSS 0.3 has been submitted for our Homebrew Idol competition. Good luck, Underminer.

PReSS 0.3 Screenshot

PReSS 0.3 changes:

  • Slim support
  • WPA and other encryption support
  • personal feed catalogue
  • mp3 download and playback
  • mp4 and AVC video download
  • atom/xml support added
  • more reliable: http 1.1 protocol for image download
  • ability to abort updating feeds
  • faster feed saving
  • remapped buttons (see read-me)
  • support for larger images
  • Real favicons instead of generic logo.
  • faster panning in image view
  • viewfinder in image view
  • show/hide topics window
  • Added to settings: Large thumbnail quality
    • 0 = display image as a link
    • 1-3 = image quality(only applicable for large images)

Yeah, so dope I should just throw my PSP away. I am pretty glad I invested into a PS3 when I did, because the PSP is not doing anything new…

Why is this being submitted now? Its been around for a while so he has a good jump on the competition. Good app and hope they keep up the good work but it shouldn’t be allowed to enter the competition.

To be honest, I didn’t expect was allowed to enter it either. But in the rules it is stated that updates (or a series thereof released in the period of the compo) is allowed too. I suppose Greg will judge it on grounds of added value/functions/content

It’s the daily dose of imagery feed, found in the catalogue under English>Hobby. The editor picks one series of photo’s from all sorts of (semi)pro sites

i have a problem with my psp crashing with my apps… some apps seem to run ok for a bit then all of a sudden it freezs and turns off… it happen with this app and psptube…. im on 3.90 m33 3 …. any information would help me out… thanks.

oh another thing is im trying to figure out if all psps have a file called screenshot…um.. i dont remember if it was rco or prx.. in there f0.. if anyone could confirm this would be awesome… thanks again..

if i knew where to look i wouldent be posting here now would i… dosent hurt to ask question anyware.. except….hm… im guessing hurts you for whatever resason… would be nice of an explanation. i bet your mad about somehting alse… why alse would you be mad for me posting question about um.. psp on a psp site… hm… insted of giving smart remarks why dont you try to help someone for a change. flooding??? dont look that full of comments to me ither hahahhaa!!! whatever thanks for your help.

The app might crash because of an error in the LuaPlayer code it uses..I see luaPlayer-haters cheering :-(. For me personally, it will normally update fine but sometimes it freezes completely
