The ms is accessed in pretty much the same way as a hard drive on a PC, It is not ram.

To be able to use Virtual memory (ie map ram to the ms), would require the cpu to have a Memory Management Unit (MMU). Sadly, the Allegrex cpu in the PSP does not have one.

iv always wondered ,when it comes to emulation and the lack of memory availible on systems such as dreamcast and sega saturn it can stop an emulator from running but with psp tho yes it has little memory, why cant the memory stick be used ,say pertition 512 off of the memory stick for extended memory for all/any app on psp.

why cant this be done ?

i know theres a difference between memory and ram ,but isnt it the same as well ?

You need to install from a .jad file that is located in the same directory as the .jar file.

It's a nice app, but it really needs a decent way to input words. The keyboard provided is useless, I have to press all the buttons in an attempt to find the right letter when entering an address in Opera Mini. A full QWERTY keyboard will be a very nice addition.
Keep up the good work!

It'll still need dynarec for executing the windows app. Then the windows api, direct x, direct 3d and direct sound need porting.

Oh, and huge chunks of the linux kernel need porting too, to provide pthreads and other services to WINE.

All this requires ram to run and store all the data structures used.

The overheads are too large for the PSP to handle.
