i tested it on a 3.71 M33-2 and a 3.90 M33-2 firmware, it both worked. there shouldn’t be any issue with the firmware. please read the README.txt carefully.

yes! it will work.. HFS is a portable application (HTTP server) and DIR-to-XML Tool will also work as long as all the files are on the same directory. You can even make an AUTORUN.inf to automatically execute HFS when inserted.

It doesn’t seem to work right. That is to say; I added my music folder and XML folder to HFS but only XML files for some folders were generated, and some don’t work because they don’t contain the needed data in them. The ones that do work, work great. I tried adding each directory individually to HFS and the DIR-to-XML Tool but the tool won’t generate any XML files past \Music\. I’m running Vista 64.

Guys! You can now download a better (and simpler) README at http://bravekn1ght.blinkedph.com/dl/DIR-to-XML_Tool_102_README2.txt

Thanks!

1. Download DIR-to-XML Tool from http://bravekn1ght.blinkedph.com/

2. Download HFS from http://www.rejetto.com/hfs/

3. Extract DIR-to-XML_Tool_102.rar to a directory of your choice

4. Proceed to the directory where you saved HFS and double-click hfs.exe

5. When prompted to install “HFS shell context menu” click “yes”. Leave hfs running

6. Create a directory of your choice where you want the XML files to be located. (e.g. C:\RSS)

7. Under STEP 1, choose your MP3 directory you want to index as XML (e.g. C:\MP3)

8. Under STEP 2, choose the directory that you created for the XML files

9. Click on the ACTIONS menu or simply press CTRL+G to generate the XML files

10. Browse to the XML directory, right-click the folder icon and choose “Add to HFS”

11. Do the same with your MP3 directory.

12. On your PSP, point your web browser to the URL displayed on the STEP 3 section of DIR-to-XML (unless you changed it) and add the folder name of your XML. (e.g. http://192.168.0.1/RSS)

13. Select the album/directory of your choice and choose “YES” when prompted to add to the RSS Links.

14. Exit the web browser and proceed to the RSS menu. Choose the album/directory and enjoy your music! =)

thanks for the new readme but i still get to the same place as before, i did it exactly the same as the readme and when my psp opens the rss directory it just says no file, also on the top right corner theres a button that says log in, and tips, thanks

ignore the login and other links on the page. it’s just features built-in with HFS. I believe you’re trying to import a directory with no sub-directories. I haven’t tried that scenario yet.. I’ll give it a shot and maybe release a quick fix if proven to be an issue. thanks for the feedback.
