Update: Get version 1.43 while it’s hot…
- Added Levels 11-20.
- Wall-Kick has been modified, it now only works when against a wall.
- I Beam wall kick has been disabled to prevent a bug from happening.
- Fixed Memory Leak where if score went past 99,999 the game would not function properly.
If you’re looking for a slick homebrew-crafted game of Tetris; look no further, Dragula96 has exactly that — one real bad ass bona fide Tetris clone.
TetriAbetes 1.42 changes:
- Added 3rd setting to ghost (wireframe)
- Added ability to change mp3 music folder, open “data/mp3folder.ini” file and edit directory of choice, save file. (do not press return key after the string)
- adjusted the drop speed after level change (made it a bit slower, as per request).

yay! tetris-like game that is very tetris-like.
This is pretty good. Probably the best Tetris game I’ve played in a while. Glad I could turn the ‘ghost’ thing off, as those things always did annoy me in other Tetris clones. Music’s pretty cool too. I’m keeping this on my memory stick.
hehe just played for a few second(because i lost already) and it is awesome! love how you used the old tetris theme tune but you added it with a rock twist
for some reason, when i reach the top, it just completely freezes. wont shut off, wont let me hit home, etc…just freezes and shuts down.
Very nice. Cool music. The “shadow” feature I guess you can call it where it shows where the piece is gonna land takes some getting used to, but is very welcome. Got to level 10 without breakin a sweat.

either im lost or im not good with the whole hacking thing. so can anyone please tell me how to get hacks and stuff on my psp thanks!
first you need Custom FirmWare (CFW) then depending on your machine slide the files into PSP/GAME150 or PSP/GAME for slim. MANY people willing to CFW your psp for you.
the BEST homebrew since kosmodrones, more addictive then KETM , i just might loose my job playing this game.

I noticed that after reaching lvl 10 (130 lines or so) things start getting glitchy. The scoreboard on the left bugs out a little and some of the sounds start messin up. Just something to keep in mind if you release a newer version. Also the intro(s) should be skippable.
Other than that, been playing it all day :P

you need to have a custom firmware, if you do, just put it in your game150 folder. but i’m assuming that if your asking you don’t, you should look up pandoras batery.

Hey, i have a psp slim and its cfw 3.71 M33. What do i have to do to put tetris on? Like step by step. lol.
turn on psp.
usb mode., connect to PC.
wait… open PSP folder, create GAME and GAME371 folders
put tetris for 3.xx in game 3.71 folder
wait.
return to XMB (main menu)
go to game, memory stick.
you should see it there.

nice visual… but the music is too heavy for a little puzzle game (thats why they used a russial folk music). And the sound effects its too loud (even with low volume). But,.. what the heck… I wont take it off from my MS… GREAT WORK MATE
Any chance possibly of a PC port :) My PSP sadly decided that life was too hard and burnt up, but Id love to play this.

Hard to beleive, it doesn’t deal with anything hardware or flash wise. Just you.
actually i think its the hardware of UMD drive itself, i wounder if replacing a new UMD drive it fixes it?

Iv tryed every folder and It doesnt work on my psp. 3.71m33-4 PHAT with 1.5 addond and I change Configs to do the correct Folder and it fails me GREATLY. Id liek to play tho
is your recovery set to 1.5 kernal? my 3.71 m33-3 is not , my 3.40 OEa is and they both play the 1.50 version just fine? try re downloading it?

Um if you want to listen to your own music go to
MSO:MUSIC
and in the “MUSIC” folder make a folder called “tetriabetes” (no quotes) and put the music you want in there.

That is what PSPSLIM MAN is referring to. The option of using an already existing music directory for tetriabetes.

Anyway like I said go to MSO:MUSIC create folder, name it tetriabetes
put your music you want to listen to in there, start tetriabetes, press R, and listen to “Through The Fire And Flames” by Dragonforce :)
Love the Game! you should include a high score section like after a lose/gameover.. so i can compare scores or compete with my friends score. that would be a nice touch! :)
P.S.and an option to turn on or off the ghost block that shows where its going to land.
Press Select to turn the ghost block into wireframe, and then press again to turn it off completely. Took me a while to figure that out. Also I only just found the L button Hold thing. Nice feature.

This Tetris is awesome, but the music could bleed ur ears. So far my Higher score is 59686 on level 12. I should’ve pause every sec to see where am I suppose to put the block so I can move on to the next level. Keep up the good work. If there is more visul effects would be cool just another thoughts. 5/5
Is it possible to add a standby mode to the game because last time i pulled up the power switch the game turned off…

Awesome rendition of Tetris, probably the best one yet! A little constructive critism though, if you will indulge me. I would like to see alternate theme settings, including solid shapes of different sorts, and different backgrounds. Also, exploding or cascading lines (ala collapse!) when cleared would be awesome, and perhaps changing the background at level changes (ala bejeweled 2). It’s a great game. I really love it. I’m just saying that that’s what I would like to see.
i changed the path on the mp3folder.ini and it dun work and i out in music in the music folder and that dun work either so wtf???
