PSPUAE 0.70 Released: Ubiquitous Amiga Emulator
greg | February 24, 2008
FOL and the PSPUAE team have released version 0.70 of their Ubiquitous Amiga Emulator. Several updates optimizing both speed and memory have been packed into 0.70 — those along side other improvements detailed in the changelog below…

PSPUAE v0.70 changes:
- Added a lot of Rics FAMEC code and optimizations. (Gave some speed increase)
- Altered Hsync handler. (Removes slow down when sprites on screen, with CPU = MAX)
- Altered CPU CYCLE UNIT to 256 (Gave the most speed increase)
- Altered CHIPSET settings (To fall inline with CPU CYCLE UNIT change, its now a much more finer setting than in previous versions. Giving better results)
- Added Rics FAMEC Sound code (Still clicks, we know what the problem is, but I need help to solve it)
- Added Interpolation 4CH Sound under sound menu (This can improve sound slightly)
- Altered HEAP SIZE for available memory to PSPUAE (This solves all memory problems)
- Added Rics FAMEC FrameSkip Algorithm (This gives a finer smoother Auto FrameSkip)
My sincerest props to the team for this one.

Nice RELEASE what the hell does Ubiquitous mean :P
It’s been a long time since the previous release (0.63), but it was well worth the wait. The speed increase means that Captain Planet is now actually playable! :)
Like you, i long for captain planet to be playable, its definately getting there, ;).
Thank you for this release, I’m going to try Megalomania now.
Thank you for this release, props to the developers. I’m going to try Megalomania and Apidya now. Amiga had the most enjoyable games back in the days. What an excellent era of computer gaming that was…
can i play blood money? dragon’s lair?
Nice
amiga great ,amiga on psp crappy … still way too slow for me .
You should play about with the settings a bit then. Most of the games I play can run at very playable speeds, some even full speed.
Please someone tell me where can i download games from for this PspUAE and will it run on my PSP 1.50 firmware
planetemu.net, good site for old retro games, :).
Carnivac is correct, play around with settings. Its great how people say nothing playble or its to slow. Yet if they had this problem in WinUAE, they would simply change settings.
I can quite happly play all my games i like fine, alot of games are almost full speed and playable.
Incase people cant be bothered to read, Chipset CPU speed, can slow onscreen gfx down, simply set it lower.
