Developer SofiyaCat has released an update to PSPTube — the homebrew app allowing YouTube video playback direct on the PSP. Other popular video sites are supported as well.
Translated (Japanese to English) changelog:
- General
- Dailymotion corresponding login.
- file name can now download
- select the file name of the items can be changed now
- URL directly enter play now
- Related Play
- video playback with the passage of time and full time, the information can be displayed as a buffer.
- Hide comments can be shown now
- Bug fixes
- Premier members smiling movie, the search could not fix the problem.
- Video smiling, trying to play freeze glitch fixed

Uh… I cant get this to work… It shows a screen and 2.3 seconds later it leaves and I am left with an all black screen with nothing to do but hit home and quit.
ya me too…it shows the logo and then a black screen. all you can do its press home and return to XMB.
oh fixed it…make sure in the recovery screen that kernel isn’t on 1.50 and that the folder with the program is in GAME.
so….what do you do when you get to the main screen? if you press a certain button it makes a prompt come up but what do you type in there? i just typed in “cool” because i thought it was asking for a search term to find videos but after that nothing happened…and i couldnt get back to the mystery prompt

heres a totally unrelated and noobish question can u downgrade a psp slim for 3.60 to 1.50?

first off… i have all rights to say something mean. slim psp’s are NOT 1.50 COMPATIBLE. try and RESEARCH before asking stupid questions about downgrading in a homebrew comment…idiot..

yes u can run 1.50 on slim by using dark-alex time machine

Ill try to answer the questions ive read in one post. The guy who has the black screen, its because you youtube doesnt run on 1.5 kernel so change it back to 3.71 or whatever m33 firware. Yes you can get 1.5 on the slim but you either need someone with a modded psp to create the pandoras battery or you will need to know how to open the battery and alter it to make it/needed files for memory card with pandora are the same. oh and to use url feature, when in program you press select to cycle through favorites, playlists etc. when you go to you tube and search a video and they pop up, you press triangle where you can now save to psp or u have the option to enter a url…Hint sometimes psp will freeze and shut off when trying to play a video, try entering url directly instead of clicking to play from your search or you can press triangle and save it even when your not watching it. Hope i helped

hey anyone else find this crashes a lot? all I have to do is click on a youtube video, it freezes and about 5 seconds later it turns off the psp. I used to have a version that seemed to work fine but cant remember which one it was :( anyone else find this?

you can watch for about 5 minutes and then FREEZING. Damn I cant wait for this thing to work fully.
fat with 3.80 and a slim with 3.90 Both FREEZE after about 5 minutes of browsing and watching
there is ONE version of this app where you can view Dailmotion, Veoh, and Youtube and they all work near flawlessly.
Dailymortion is broken in every other version; it’s been fixed now, but Veoh has been removed.
Does ANYONE know what version I’m referencing, as there are many and I can’t seem to find it.

the first release was the most stable one. it only crashed on me twice and i had it since the day it came out. The new ones die on me every 5-7 mins…… o well….. keep up da good wrk sofiyacat! opefully there will be a final good and stable release…..

does it support WPA yet any 1 no aint got 1 version of this working yet with my wifi WPA sercurity enabled :(
To get this app to work you need a psp running 3.71 M33 or higher, then put the app folder in the PSP>GAME371 section of your memory stick. hope that helps.
Umm My PSP Freezes when i run the APP on my 3.90 m33 psp, how do i run it without freezing, the white words pop up then its a black sceen then frezzes
turn off ur psp hold R go into config then change ur psp to its version kernel for ex:if u have a psp 3.90-m33 then the kernel should be set at 3.90 DO NOT USE 1.50KERNEL it wont work if i helped thank me. oh yeah put psptube in the folder called GAME not GAME150 okey =]
