TimeMachine v0.1 Released
greg | February 15, 2008
Not only does Dark_AleX hold the PSP championship belt of awesomeness, he probably has your girlfriend washing out her panties in his reverse engineered Maytag. Hitting hard yet again with a fresh new release — TimeMachine v0.1.
Similar to BOOSTER’s DevHook; TimeMachine loads previous official/custom firmwares off the memory stick using a Pandora battery and custom IPLs.
The timemachine is useful to run software that is not supported anymore, and also as a way of booting psp’s even if the internal firmware is destroyed. It can also be useful for developers to test their homebrew in different firmwares.
The packaged readme details the available installation options, usage, known problems and considerations; I strongly encourage you to read that over before you begin.
Find all the necessary firmwares here (official), and here (custom).
TimeMachine v0.1 currently supports the following:
- Original 1.50 — can only be loaded on the phat
- 1.50 with some 3.40 hw modules — can be loaded on both, phat and slim
- 3.40 OE — can only be loaded on phat
- 3.60 M33 — can only be loaded on slim
Other firmwares are said to be added in the future.

sounds awesome DA keep it up
Sweet. Now I have reason to buy a psp slim.
PHAT PSP is officially obsolete now! thanks DA!
Don’t Buy one yet it still needs a little work to perfect it.
Fuck Ya’ DAX :-) Nobody can’t replace GOD
Yes, I Have Released future Devhook
yeah i’m agreeing with M33 User, i’m going to wait until it’s fully perfected then i’ll buy a slim
Hmm…
So I need to use pandora to use time machine?
PASS.
Still good work Alex.
good good… now make 1.50 kernel for psp slim like psp fat have… plssssss
Wtf do you think this is? NOOB NOOB lol
ROFLOL
Wtf do you think this is? is it 1.50+3.40 NOT 1.50. ROFLOL
Matt is a noob :p a big phat noob!! I hate pople like you!! ti is 1.50+3.40 not 1.5
4.90? lol… just kidding.
Where can i get 360.psar? I don’t have psp slim with 3.60 :(
I used a torrent website
or google it
Sounds good, but I’m not quite educated on this. As a Slim user, how can I benefit from this? I’d appreciate if someone could answer that for me.
For one, I believe that this is a first attempt at running a 1.50 kernel on the slim, albeit with a few modules absent.
i clap hand for the is a prime example of virtual machine. i suggest adding ability to make software host and guest so u can “minize” between them
awesomeness, again i ask. can i have your babies lol
Juan
@Matt
You called Snake a n00b and here you are asking a n00b question?
The main benefit for me would be no more flashing firmwares to the internal flash. Just run from a memory stick. Did you even read the post?
“TimeMachine loads previous official/custom firmwares off the memory stick using a Pandora battery and custom IPLs.+
nicknames on the intardweb are often copied and having a unique one is pretty rare :>
mine is completely original ;p
Mine too!
ThatOneGuy,
I should have viewed the other posters’ names. I’m not the same Matt that made those comments.
And I’m still not sure as a Slim user how exactly this will benefit me. I can already run just about any emulator and play original PS1 games, so I’m not sure what adding this would give me additionally, so I appreciate an explanation. Thanks.
I was being sarcastic. Snake obviously didnt read the post cause this is an attempt too get 1.5 kernel on the PSP Slim and his post said “good good… now make 1.50 kernel for psp slim like psp fat have… plssssss”
Oh and this is the diffrent matt, sorry about the confusion….
Thanks DA.
3.60 psar

thanks
how do i use this, i installed the 1.5-3.4 kernal on my slim and pandorized my phat battery but it dosent do anything, i still cant play any of my 1.5 kernal games =S, help please !
Just making sure, are you holding circle while it powers on?
no im not holding circle when it powers on, do i have to? i dont get the whole concept of this, is it like a second firmware boot up from a memstick and do i turn load it by using a pandorized battery and holding circle when turning it on???
Yes, just hold circle while switching on your psp.
wait, is this with a pandoras battery cause if it is, nothing happens other than a black screen
yeah follow instructions to this as these are pretty poor instructions. But everyone planning on buying a slim wait til this is fully ready. I give everything a try then wait a week until there is a better release that is safe and easy like Universal Unbricker v4 or Network Update custom frimwares by DAX.
so, what do this mean for us normal noob psp players? what do this program really do? why do we need to use version 3.4 or 3.71 etc. when we can use the latest psp versions? version 1.5 maybe but others. i don’t know…
Sorry guys, I decide to stop creating firmwares until someone come here and “shine my knob”….
get a life, if you don’t have anything to contribute other than impersonating, then piss off.
*grabs cloth and metal polish* I’ll shine it.
I have a fat fw 3.90 m33 psp…How much should I sell it? >.>
3000-5000 rs (Depending upon condition)
Greg what he hell does this have to do with my girlfriends panties? You always write such geeky BS in your posts
I guess it’s probably because he’s a pimp-ass mofo hustler :)
emphasizing the fact Dark_AleX is capable of anything it seems
When I first tried to install this, it messed up my pandora memory stick…and i tried my darndest to get it back to the way it was. After two or so hours of messing around, i figured out this doesnt have to be installed on top of a Pandora memstick… even works on non-compadible Pandora cards (ie non sony)…it works fantastic on my slim…now can use programs from back in the old Fat only days…been missing them so much. A modified version of this is bound to come out…but this program even with its flaws is almost as great at the original Pandora itself.. you’ve outdone yourself Dax, we owe you a debt of graditude. With this program…the entire PSP family line is officialy hacked!
Thanks again DAX, another great advancement in the community.
@DAX:
Thanks to you for your grat work. The timemachine works perfectly on my slim. I’ve your FW 3.90-M33-2 and PMPlayer doesnt play any pmp files. With your TM and the 3.60M33 I can view those videos. IRSHELL for 1.5 works, too.
Please don’t stop to work on this thing.
This tool saved my SLIM!
Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
timemachine badass now i can play my old popstation games that i couldn’t in 390m33
Dax is the man.thx
This is really cool. I look forward to future releases.
hey all, for some fucked reason my pandora aint working anymore, i tryed making a pandora from scratch and using a different battery and ms but it aint working all it does is boot up the xmb
thir rounds useless to me
This is very useful to me since my dumb ass screwed up the nand file’s on my slim, I can now boot to a cfw, until then I can only use 3.60 but thanks for the up DA much upreciated, cant wait for higher ver.
This is totally bummby chummby
I havee all the necessary files and successfully installed everything, but when I put in my Pandora, no matter what I do, it just boots to the XMB. Help?
When turning on the PSP with Pandora Battery, hold down CIRCLE to boot to 3.60 M33 or SQUARE to boot to 150+340…. Read the Config.txt in the TM folder on your PSP memory stick
CROSS = 150
CIRCLE = 150_340
TRIANGLE = 340OE
SQUARE = 360M33
UP = pandora.bin
This tool is FANTASTIC!
i went back in time when sony released the playtation1. october 1995. and im back again. this time machineworks great.
MAn, how did u do it? I can’t seem to pinpoint my location, I randomly went back to the day MLK got assassinated but too bad I couldnt save him because the time machine got a bug and zap me back to the present before i even had a chance to do anythingh.
i finally figured the bug. you see you keep going back to your own time whenever your eyes blink. and the only way to prevent that from happening is to hold your breath. so whenever you would blink, dont breath. if you get it wrong youll go back instantly. recently ive lasted about 20 minutes in NY while im watching the twin towers collapse back in 9-11-01.
Bug: music and video not working?
my video pics and music no long play on 390. i have to start 360 and then i can see them…is this going to be fiexed soon?
if anyone is having problem this should be fix asap
can i convert my normal phat battery to a pandora one using the time machine? Thanks for answering in advance!
