ZX-81 Emulator Updates: PSPColem v1.1.1 and PSPAtari v1.1.3
greg | February 13, 2008
Get down with the classics. ZX-81 continues doing what he does best, oh so elegantly with two more emulator updates… Today we have PSPColem — the ColecoVision emulator, and PSPAtari — emulating the 800, 800XL, 130XE and 5200 Atari models.

PSPColem v1.1.1 changes:
- Speed improvements, z80 part rewritten using jump tables. Antartic Adventure is now fullspeed (60 fps) even at 133Mhz!
- IR keyboard support (mainly for menu)
- Auto-fire mode, press RTrigger+X to switch it on/off
- Add several new hotkeys:
- settings such as fps, render mode, auto fire speed can now be directly modified inside the emulator (no need to enter in the settings menu)
- quick save / quick load current state (no need to enter in the main menu)
- Default Hotkeys can now be set in the keyboard mapping menu (useful to add hotkeys on existing/previous keyboard files)
- Bug fix in the low battery watchdog
- Add vsync option
- Add ntsc/pal option and fix issue with default speed (emulator was too slow in ntsc mode)

PSPAtari v1.1.3 changes:
- fix issue with NTSC colors (thanks to carpy)
- bug fix with vsync option
- bug fix with pal/ntsc video system change

whee
cool
how meny atari emulators are there going to be…make better programs or emulators…
I agree with Dan, its not like atari can be improved “soooo” much. Besides that, I think atari is useless. Hated it when I was a kid, hate it now.
@all: thx
@dan & dephect: don’t like it ? who cares ;)
Zx
STFU. As an oldschool gamer I completely disagree with DepheCt & Dan. The more the merrier.
@zx-81: Obviously the people who dont like it, care… was that so hard to figure out?
@Dephect: thx for your contribution,
Zx
no offense but these old school shit gets rarely use (in my opinion) so BOOOOOOOO
Keep up the good work ZX-81. Kids these days think its all about paint jobs.
I am 27, hardly a kid. My point stands… its ATARI, there is only so much you can do to improve it. There doesnt need to be 30 some odd versions floating about. If you want to work on something Atari thats a challange, make a Jaguar emu ;)
Speed improvements (to use less of the PSP battery) and bug fixes are always welcome.
DepheCt is right. we get it, The atari games work on the psp. Make better emulators, maybe something like a xbox emulator, ps2 Or help N64, or maybe even gamecube. Atari gets really old really quick.
This emulator is brilliant!! I’m playing all the Atari800XL games I had when I was small on my PSP. Just because it doesn’t have an impact on you doesn’t mean its worthless. Your negative feedback however, IS.
