LED Control v0.2 Released
greg | February 11, 2008
Due to a button configuration conflict with other 3rd party plugins, and that resulting in several requests asking to correct the problem, brk3 has issued a new version of LED Control. All that’s changed is the button combination; now press LEFT Trigger + Volume Down to toggle the PSP LEDs — wifi, power, and memory stick.
FAQ (before you ask) –
Q: This already exists in IRShell!?
A: Yes IRShell is the reason I programmed this, as (if you read above!) I liked this functionality. When 3.90M33 was released IRShell wasn’t compatible, so I missed this feature. IRShell has since being hacked to run on 3.90M33 but it is still nice to have this functionality in the normal XMB.Q: Can you change the LED’s to <insert color>?
A: No.Q: Can you make it compatible with <insert firmware>?
A: It should be compatible with all custom firmwares. If you are certain you are not making some stupid mistake, please email me you’re current configuration and I’ll do my best to see what the problem is.

I dont use it….but its always nice to see new homebrew!
i’ve already used it and it’s been very useful for me since I don’t use IrShell…
does this work with 3.71 M33-4 ?
Read: “It should be compatible with all custom firmwares”
Tested and working on 3.52 m33-4 !!!!
This is very useful, though i use irshell, i installed it anyway :D
BTW, to trigger led OFF i have to hold “R” + “Volume -” and to turn back ON “R” + “Volume +” despite what’s written in the readme… oh well, good job anyway !!!
KEEP IT UP !!!
I wanted it work with both volume – and + but (press LEFT Trigger + Volume Down is better) then the older one
Awesome ! But will the LEDs keep flashing when the battery is low or when it reads something off the ms ?
Also, can you please add a config file inside the SEPLUGINS folder (for button configuration) ? That would be nice. Thanks and keep up the good work.
Awesome, i love you,
Those goddamn LED’s have been pissing me off for a year now.
Thank you brk3, it was me who asked for help on changing the combination. its just that i already had the LTRIGGER+NOTE for the music.prx and it sucked when i turned off the LEDs to hear music untill the LEDs where back on.
Anyways, thanks for the update; it really helps.
Would be cool to add a feature to enable certain LEDs whenever they’re not in use. It’d be fun to be playing a game and have all the LEDs on at once, even if you’re not playing a multi player game, or you’re not saving/reading from the memorycard.
Also I noticed that this plugin doesn’t work for whenever the PSP is charging, the Orange light can’t be turned off.
The Orange Light while charging cannot be configured because it is not controled by the psp, its predetermined by the outer currents [when plugged in].
ITS STILL NOT RUNNING ON 3.71 M33-4..
he said its compatible with all Custom frimware “NO”….but working on 3.80 and 3.90 M33..
why dont you just update your firmware
AHHHHH MAKE MORE HACKS!!!!AHHH
AND PRROGRAMS!!!!
Awesome now you can put on your led mods when ever you want
how do i put in my psp???????????????
plse reply and plse give me detailed instructions
