PSP SaveGame Utility v1.0

greg | January 24, 2008

Those who enjoy the simpler things will definitely have use for Reineborn’s PSP SaveGame Utility…

PSP SaveGame Utility Screenshot

Manage your PSP save games in an easy way. Plug in your PSP to the PC or use a memory stick reader. Start the program and it will find the savegames automatically. You can backup selected or all your savegames to your PC. You can delete them in a fast way compared with the XMB.

There is no installation program — just download and unrar to your choice of folder.

And that’s that. Enjoy it.

Sweet. This will be most useful. I wrote similar in vb.net for the DS, but it wasn’t release-worthy, and nothing as slick as this looks. Cheers.

great for a v1.0, but still lots of features needed, like another column of your backed up saves, and the ability to restore them, different ways to sort the saves (name, date, ID, etc), management stuff. Here’s hoping for v1.1!

Mmmm, works fine. Hey, if you want to restore the games, just do it int the ‘reverse’ way. Select the savefiles from your PC and backup them to your PSP.

Yah would like to see if it can compare saves against the same game to see which one has “further progress” or “higher achievements” in a game.

So what makes this useful over the psp save game editor? What can you actually “edit”, i mean… it’s easy to copy them to your pc, and then back again with a mouse click, and you can manage them on the psp. So… the usefulness of this, please?

I prefer “PSP save game manager”, from there I can restore the saves back to my psp..

Sounds like a nice program, but PSP content Manager can do that as well.

Did someone forget that there’s a savegame manager on the PSP XMB? The files are easily copied using a file manager. What would be nice is if you could use some kind of hex offsets to alter your save games in a plugin loader kind of thing to alter them. Another nifty utility that people would want is if you could alter the region to use the savegame across multiple region based games. Or a comparison based cheater of some sort. Any of those would actually make this more useful than the actual psp savegame manager right?

Some ideas:
- Second strip for backuped savegames
- Restore savegames from bakup
- Bakup savegames to zip files/ posibility to backup many times the same savegame (diferent in time)

the thing is that you can view the saves with a “preview image” on your computer so it is easily to know witch save to restore to your psp.. I don’t want 150+ saves on my psp, first it takes up memory space on my stick , second I want an easily manageable backup.
PSP SaveGame Utility is good but lacks some functions that PSP save game manager have, but the first looks better. Hope Reineborn adds those features.

What I would like to see is a full psp manager where you could do selected backups and restores of psp data ie iso’s, video files, pictures and also show how much memory is available on the psp.
