Your virtual lifeguard is back on duty. Breathe life into your seemingly dead Fat or Slim PSP with Dark_AleX’s own CPR device — Despertar Cementerio. As promised — the Pandora battery method for installing custom firmware 3.80 M33.
Installation, usage, and other concerns are addressed in the readme. I strongly encourage you read that over prior to flashing. You will require the Sony 1.50, 3.40, and 3.80 update EBOOTs. Get those below. As well, if you haven’t already, create a Pandora battery and magic memory stick. Tutorials available in our forums — here, and here, even here. Thanks Demonchild.
Despertar Cementerio v4 changes:
- Installer now checks if user has a custom theme installed, and ask him to disable it before running the program.
- The PSN DRM file in flash2 (act.dat) is now backuped during ms creation and restored in the unbrick.
- Flash2 is now formatted too.
- Now installs 3.80 M33-5 instead of 3.71 M33-3.

So can this install 3.80m33 on my slim 3.80? Please help I updated from 3.60 to 3.80 cuz some guy told me it had homebrew.
The one I’ve downloaded from here has “240 KB (246,506 bytes)” … and the one I’ve downloaded from dark-alex.org has “237 KB (243,107 bytes)”.

Will this install 3.80m33 on my 3.80 slim? Some guy told me to install 3.80 from 3.60 and it will have homebrew.

This is crazy. I can finally upgrade psp’s straight to 3.80m33 rather than having to update like 3 times. Dark Alex is the man. I don’t know what we would do without him.

I have 4 slims. 2 read will boot off MS, 2 will not. The 2 that wont do not read the UMPS from the MS under game. Any thoughts?

Anyone having trouble with mc card storage capacity not refreshing after deleting game on MC. I have both phat and slim that are both not refreshing. Just updated from DvC1 to DvC4.
WTF? I had a perfect PSP 3.71 m33-4, I use this, and now when the PSP is booting, I get a frozen orange Mem card reading and the PSP shuts off! (if I boot the PSP w/o the MEM card, it boots normally). What gives???
Oh, and it also happens whenever I exit a game,app… it gets annoying FAST…

Omg how weird today I just made are Ultimate unbrick stuff u knw the UMP or somethings, with my old psp the 1 one with a CFW 3.52 M33 ???
Whats the problem u ask? The problem is how can it be that I can make a Ultimate shit with the old CFW but not with the newest 3.80 m33-5 WTF? thats really huh? I mean there must be something that not work well in this new firmware so pls ALex or M33 fix it :) I have the feeling that this update is not yet fully done ;)

Successfully updated my Pandora Memory Stick from 3.60 version to 3.80 version.
Tested and worked.
Changed a brand new out of the box Black PSP Slim with 3.72 Firmware to 3.80 M33-5.

I have carefully followed the instructions, but how would you know if it is already working? Should I intentionally Brick my PSP? Sorry for my nuob question. This is the first time I made a Pandora Battery and Magic MS :(
