Is there a possible way into tricking the official version 3.80, confuse the PSP into think it has to upgrade instead of using the pandora downgrading method. Modifying firmware settings?

Or maybe modifying the .pbp file into thinking that its a newer version so people with official version 3.80 can be using version CFW 3.81. Where in a line of code does it state what version you are about to upgrade to? Lie to your PSP! aha!

I think you guys who bitch and moan should just download the official Sony update and STFU. You like that, have fun with your stock PSP. You think DAX is doing this for the $$$? No! If you had to pay for his CFW's I could understand getting upset, but you don't. This is hacking people, not a Sony update. When you install these, hold your breath and hope it works. If it doesn't, oh well. You want a refund? You're lucky I aint DAX.
