1.50 Kernel Addon for 3.80 M33 Released

Fat users — no offense — who have upgraded to Dark_AleX’s latest custom firmware can now utilize 1.50 kernel-enabled apps & games.
- Download the 1.50 kernel add on package;
- Copy to your memory stick as you would any other 3.80 homebrew;
- Grab the Sony 1.50 update, rename to 150.PBP, and copy to the memory stick’s root directory; i.e.) X:\ ms0:\ etc…
- Run it!
To reiterate, this particular 1.50 kernel addon is strictly for fat PSP’s running 3.80 M33 or 3.80 M33-2. Enjoy!

Dax is the man! What a freakin’ genius! Everything is running perfectly for me now. I don’t use IR Shell though, so I have no clue about that.

make up any name for a folder and place it in GAME
I make an “UPDATE” folder in PSP\GAME, copy the files in it, put the renamed 150.pbp in the root of the MS and when open GAME in the XMB I the ne wicon that I see is “corrupted data”. What I’m doing wrong? I’m on CFW 3.80-m33-2
Well what i did was create GAME380 folder and in there make a folder name 150 (as an example) dont name it update name it whatever u want but not UPDATE that should work :)
you can just make a folder called 150KERNEL (or anything you wish, besides UPDATE) under ms0:/PSP/GAME if you have set your kernel to 3.80 in recovery settings

Stupid question, but fat psp = not for slim psp users? In that case what to do for slim users?
I have noticed on the visualizations is the newest one doesnt fully work, if you let it sit for a while it draws very thin dark brown lines but thats about it. also with the 150 add on i have noticed some of my 150 HB doesnt work either but i have not had enough time to sit down and figure out whats going on and test different folders. thats what i would say to people who cant get it going… try different folders and see if that works, thats what i am going to do when i get home.

Can we run homebrew on the slim PSP’s? If so how as the 1.50 addon is not for slims? Will they run homebrew without this?

I’ve gotten everything to work except running ISOs and CSOs. (Updated to 3.80 M33-2 and flashed the 1.50 kernel.) Is this the memory card problem everyone is having? (mine = Sony 4GB PRO Duo)
reboot your psp, hold R-trigger when you reboot (brings you into recovery menu) go to config then go to UMD mode and select M33 driver
i placed the addons and all the content in to a folder and placed the 1.50 fw in the folder psp/game150/ and named it 150.pbp and ran the program in the firmware in the game. Once i did it i got to the screen and it said “incorrect or non existentent 150.pbp” it then reseted how do i fix or did i do something wrong????

Do exactly what someone stated obove with your files, but what I did when I received “incorrect or non existentent 150.pbp” and exits.
I went back into see if the 150.PBP name was correct and it was, but I then tried for the hell of it to just name it 150 and it worked…weird shit but it worked…lol
You know what that might be?
Here, I’ll tell you.
Alot of ppl don’t go into Tools / Folder Options / View / “Uncheck” Hide File Extensions for known file types. So when you added the .pbp you were actually adding 2 150.pbp.pbp. Last one is hiden from view.

Hold the psp’s power to off. make sure that the power is totally OFF(NOT SLEEPING). Now turn power on and quickly hold the R Trigger to get into the recover menu. After the Recovery menu starts you may release the R Trigger and do what you must do.

Got it working
Got it working on my second try. Any problems having to do with the “incorrect or non existent 150.pbp” are due to the fact that unlike the m33 firmware updates, the renamed 150 file goes in the “ROOT” that is the area that includes MUSIC PICTURE PSP etc etc. Thats where the file goes. The rest is the usual. The breakdown by SomeONE pretty much did it for me.
Has any body figured out how to prevent the psp from crashing while returning from sleep mode. Using the m33 3.80-2 with the 1.50 Kernel Addon for 3.80 M33
can the 150.pbp be deleted after the installation is completed?

thank you dax for a great fimware every time,gracias.for the people that want to use irshell just use the eboot from the 1.5,it is the one that look brown in xmb,the green one is for 3xx kernel
My 2gb memory doesnt read homebrew and gets stuck and resets E.G-GPSP 0.9, but my 32mb one does, WHY???
If your read psp news form other psp sites you would realise that sony has screwed up the memory stick driver in the 3.80 firmware in an attempt to optimise it. The only known fix is to install the prx of the driver from 3.71 and replace the 3.80, it seemed to fix it but that means working with flash…. For more info check out the psp news at dcemu website

I have 3.80 M33-2 and I don’t need the Add-On to run: NesterJ, SNESTYL, Rythm X.XX, FileAssistant, etc. I had the 1.5 Add-on for 3.71 M33-4. I am running these emulator/files in 3.80 kernel. Is this normal?

when you say root folder do u mean the folder with ISO VIDEO PSP in it cause i put my 150.PBP in there n my other files in the Game380 folder called Update and it brings up a message when i try using the app.incorect or inexistant 1.50.PBP at root im using a 4gb mem card thx
nevermind i put the update files in the GAME folder instead of GAM380 folder n it worked great job dax

Just take the files and put them into a new folder. Rename the new folder to anything in caps, anything except for UPDATE. Name it anything else in caps and it will work, as long as you have the 150.pbp in the root of your memstick.
