i don't know if anyone is still using this thread but........... this program works great, i have used it for all my psx games, the only problem i am having is with metal gear solid, i made the 2 disc game into 1 eboot, but when i get to the heli battle on the roof top the game freezes, i believe that it is because of impalerpsx eboot compression, it compresses the audio in certain spots, and where the game freezes liquid snake is supposed to be yelling something, if there is a way of turning off the compression or even lessening it that would be awesome. other than that 1 little prob, great work on this app.

First, I belive that the conversion using magic iso or UltraISO(on my site) should work fine.
Second, they keys.bin files are no longer required for the eboots to work.
Lastly, copy the folder into the Game folder. Try the ultraiso converter if this all fails.. lastly, if you need additional help... drop me an email.

Impaler,

I'm not having much luck at all with this converter. In fact, I've yet to get it to work for *anything* ... I'm running 3.71 M33-4, with 1.5 plug in.

Some questions for you:

I downloaded some PSX games, and a lot of them are in .nrg format. I used Magic ISO to convert the .nrg to .iso format. Do you know if I'm loosing out on anything converting from .nrg to .iso? It seems most people post these days as .nrg, not .iso or .prg ...! errrr! (Don't care about this extra step UNLESS somehow the .nrg is messing up something?)

Also, should the converted PSX game be run with 1.5 homebrew or 3.71? I've tried both. So far, I've only been able to actually convert 2 PSX games to PSP and they actually work, but using an older pop station GUI called SimplePopStationGUI by ZiNgA BuRgA.

I've seen all these posts everywhere saying popstation can convert any PSX game to PSP, but I've tried about 12, with only 2 actually working :(

I have a fat PSP.

So to sum it up.

(1) I take PSX .nrg and convert to .iso using Magic ISO

(2) I use your GUI, selecting the recently converted .iso, I select the Game Title and create ... it creates it...

(3) I noticed it does not create keys.bin file. Is a keys.bin required? I've taken an existing keys.bin and put it in and left it out.. still no difference it seems.

Lastly... what folder should the eboot go into? (On 3.71m33-4) ... It seems they are suppposed to go into GAME folder. Correct me if I am wrong.

Please help me out with a response. Great job on helping with the scene.

Skinnable? Why? Do you sit there showing it off to your "G's" about how individual you are? Or how unusable you can make an application by making a horrific looking, contrast seeped, eye pain.

It's an application to make PSP eboots.

Much better this time round :) Only complaints are no CD audio and that IMG images are not selectable in the file type box when you select a PSX image, even though IMG disk images also work.
