Although it’s likely to serve the average Joe no real purpose, PSARDumper marks a great achievement in the PSP hacking scene.
This current version dumps & decrypts PSP firmware 3.80. As well it decompresses the newly introduced compression algorithm called KL4E; noted here.
Email reports indicate the work of _HellDashX_, but I’m not certain — no readme, no details, etc… Props to whomever is responsible anyway.
To use: install as you would any normal piece of homebrew, copy the 3.80 firmware update EBOOT.PBP to the root of your memory stick, then run PSARDumper.

Seems to be another sharp blow into the face of Sony. We decrypt there firmware, using there PSPs, that we have CFWs installed on. Gotta love the irony. As for this being useless, it is just the opposite. This tool will help devs know what new features are in the 3.80 FW so they can make even more bad ass programs. If you want to talk about useless tools, then why dont we talk about you Deeply Curious. You are the biggest useless tool I have ever read comments from. I highly doubt that you are making a CFW, and if you were, I am sure it sucks. So, why dont you take you and your feeble attempts of being cool to some script kiddie site.

That is one hell of a lot of work by the crews and nice to see it out in the play ground for all da guys and gals to test out. Yeah yeah it ain’t M33 but this is a fantastic start to it all… Nice work… Oh and real CFW creators don’t brag they go quietly about their work helping others out with little to no interaction with the scene… Script kiddies have loud mouths and tend to strut around pretending they know something until they make themselves a pretty little brick then change their names and beg for help from the Dev crews… :) Yes I am very cynical and proud of it…
Just leave this sort of work to the people who know it best and thank them all for their effort…

i tryed doing all the info copied eboot to m.s then loaded the psp folder run program and installed both but the firmware still 3.71 m33 4 ???any ideas peeps glad of the help L)
It doesnt update your CFW. Its just a tool to unpack all of the files from the 3.80 update eboot file. It helps create the CFW though. Trust me, you will know when 3.80 m33 CFW is out. Hopefully soon.

Why the hell do you need a new(er) custom firmware anyway ? What game came out and doesn’t work on 3.71 m33 ? :| You people suck ! WAIT FOR IT (just like everyone else).
Most new games/ISO’s I’ve seen/downloaded only need firmware 3.52 to run anyways… so yeah, it’s worth just waiting it out. On another note, I was originally thinking that this could be useful to to replace some prx’s, like remote play, so you will have the most current, for us PS3 owners, because it seems that the ps3 requires your psp to have the latest remote play loader. However, I see that someone has posted that NIDs change, so the file will not be compatible. Great step for the dumper anyways :D My uncle, visiting from germany just bought a brand new slim here, and i’ve pimped it out with the latest firmware available, and he’s getting a kick out of it :D thanx goes out to the creators and collaborators for the latest Pandora CSO installer creators :D

Hmm, broken? I can’t get it to run on my cousin and his fiance’s silver 3.71 M33 Slim PSPs, nor on me or my brothers Fat 3.52 M33-4 PSPs. I keep getting “Error 0×80020148 loading/starting pspdecrypt.prx.” Anyone else hitting this?
Never had this problem on DAX’s official PSAR dumpers, though maybe I should let note of this in the comments, though, it may just be me.
Also, DAX’s 3.71 dumper still works fine, just tested it, before writing this.. So.. is something wrong in the compiled build or?
same thing here i had a 1.5 and it said to upgrade to 2.71. i updated to 2.82 and then it dont work so i said wtf.
