I mean if you want to run ANY commercial PSP games, then its pretty obvious you need a backward compatible kernel, which means a replacement XMB cannot have a 100% CFW unless you want to run nothing but cheesey homebrew apps. Fun and all, but not exactly practical. If it is indeed going to be via, I'd think that the boot time probably needs improving. Staggering amount of time and effort must have gone into this, so props for that!
