Streaming Audio ..Blah..I need Slingbox :)
Oh man, I want the tv feature for the phatty.

What are you talking about? The thing plugs into the top of the USB plugin.

scene-search in video, I’m pretty sure that’s in 3.72 already.
not 3.72 but i was already in 3.70
hey lets hope hell dash steps up either that or Dax comes back again
does the recording feature use the video cable or the tv feature thats only available in japan?
Another pointless update. lol.
i have a phat psp so i can’t use the video thing. luckily i have psptube, and with that i can download my favorite shows from youtube and watch it. preety cool that this firmware has an online radio function but, there is an online radio app. called pspradio
….i smell custom firmware soon!
sweet on my birthday haha
i need to get a slim the phat looks so out dated
now the xbox 360 supports DivX\Xvid sony should add it to the PSP that would be sweeeet…
Thats pretty funny…the xbox 360 is so lame its compared to the Sony portable… that tells you how great the PS3 actualy is…haha
I have all three, Xbox 360 compared to PSP….get serious!
i though pspradio cant work on m33? if so let me know.
The program pspradio works just fine and dandy on my slim with m33-2
you know i like this news when it comes out not that its GONNA come out because it ruins the element of surprise
now we only need to wait .2 more firmwares till 4.0!!!!!!! bleh
pspradio 38. and under only works on m33
Record TV Through Your PSP
New firmware update in Japan makes dreams come true.
by Anoop Gantayat
December 12, 2007 – Sony Japan announced today plans for a year-end firmware update for the Japanese PSP that will add some major functionality to the system just in time for Christmas.
On 12/18, Japanese PSP owners will be able to download the version 3.8 update. This update adds the following features:
BB Mobile Point Demos
When in the vicinity of an access point for Yahoo BB Mobile Point, a paid wireless internet service that’s available at 3,500 retail and public locations throughout Japan, you’ll be able to access the PlayStation Spot retail download service directly from your PSP. This will give you access to demos of upcoming games. This service appears to be available even to those who aren’t subscribers to the BB Mobile Point service, as you won’t be prompted for an SSID/WEP key, ID, or password.
Record Television Programs
Those with the PSP’s 1seg tuner will be able to record television programs to their Memory Stick Duo. Some programs will allow you to flag them in advance for recording as you browse the 1seg channel guide. Once it’s done recording, the PSP will automatically enter sleep mode. This feature will not allow you to record multiple programs at one time, nor will you be able to watch a program while recording another. Game and internet functionality of the system will also be inaccessible during recording sessions.
Internet Radio Compatibility
You’ll be able to listen to streaming internet radio broadcasts through an Internet Radio Player.
Two of these features appear to be specific to the Japanese market, so we’ll have to wait for official announcement to see what’s in the 3.8 update for regions outside of Japan.

All for Japan. What’s in store for the outside world of japan is another story.
omg, streaming audio, does this mean radio stations that stream their station over the internet?
Cause i want to listen to my favorite local station
http://www.lazer993.com
A new firmware on the way?
well…I guess it fit best for the Japanese…but not the rest..
when would the 1seg tuner coming to Singapore? lol
Anyway..I am awaiting to see the Internet radio though. haha
Cheers.
I think it is especially made for japanese not for all…im sure that’s another expensive stuff to be craved by people.
streaming audio function!? FUCK YES THATS WHAT IM AFTER :O
common M33, if you guys CF this version, I would just die on the spot in happyness. And scene search aswell, all something to look forward for.
I will FINALLY be able to stream music from DI.FM!!
Streaming audio??? lol I already stream audio on my phatty via audio RSS links and as already mentioned, we already have radio
…I hope they upgrade the Flash version at some point so we could watch YouTube vids.
I can already stream or download these for later viewing using homebrew :rolleyes again:
that’s what psptube is for
Yeah, but when you compare the official site with it. You can clearly see that there’s no contest. PSP tube sucks by comparison.
yeah it does suck but when your on youtube or psptube your not there to watch the sites, your there to watch the videos, thats what they are for. it shouldn’t matter how the site looks, only what the site gives.
PSPtube works? Lol, I didn’t think it did any more
This actually seems like a cool update. I hope it all works well without bugs. IMO, the PSP is a lot like the Sega Gamegear. The GG had a tv tuner and what not. Plus its battery life was about the same as the PSP’s. Let’s hope the PSP doesn’t suffer the same fate as the GG.
M33 pliiz make
CFW for this version because i think HX firmvares sucks
lol heres hoping :D
What about getting codecs for the psp so we can play xvid’s or divix or is that out and i havent seen it?
yeh get a update out to play xvid or divx files rather spending too much time converting them to near enough the same size just different format i mean c,mon whats the point if you can play xvid or divx?
sorry i eant to say CANT play xvid or divx
3.80 is now available via network update on the psp…what’s confirmed is they have the internet radio function, and the rss format changes, they also improved on the visual for the music player….
internet radio is tempting by itself…but let wait and see
hey, I have the latest custom firmware on my phat PSP, will it brick if I install the regular sony one?
no
well unless you pull out the ac adapter or memory stick while upgrading, then you’ll brick it
my psp firmware is 3.71, and i play downloaded games with it, if i up grade it to 3.80, can i still do that? sorry for asking, am a new user.
