PSPTI99 v1.0.1: TI-99/4 Emulator

greg | December 4, 2007

There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to homebrew advocates. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, and it lies between the pit of Sony’s fears and the summit of ones knowledge. This is the dimension of porting classic home computers to the PSP. It is an area which we call ZX-81’s zone!

TI-99/4 Home Computer

TI99Sim is a very good emulator of Thomson TI99 home computer running on Windows and Unix. The emulator faithfully imitates the TI99/4 model.

PSPTI99 is a port on PSP of the version 0.1.0 of TI99Sim.

Um, Sorry U can try to sue a website but you will never win, your posting on their dime and they can decide what they want on here and what they do not. Bi-polar or not there is no call to use language like you did in that post. Go wash your mouth out with soap.

and when you grow up and get on your meds come back and post

nice parody of twilight zone’s intro. Rod serling was a strange guy.

Anyway, I want the original zx, in a glass case, in my apartment. good work!

The carts provided aren’t very good: Centipede didn’t have a #2 load option, Hopper and STNick would only load TI Basic, Moon Mine freezes at level advances, and Parsec freezes. I hope this emulator gets updated I love the TI-99 4/a. Parsec rocked the ’80s!

I had the tape drive, voice recorder, about 20 games with a big case built for them with a flip up lid 2 joysticks, all sorts of goodies…I sold it to one of my brother’s friends for like 40 dollars about 6-7 years ago. Wish I had it now…

Correction: the TI499/4A was released by Texas Instruments and not Thomson!

Yes it was a mistake on my blog (i took the thomson TO7 as a sample …)

@Reiken: For Parsec, you have to put the PSP clock to 333Mhz (i”ve to find a better fix). Btw, this emu is in early stage, works still remain,

Cool!

I had a Texas Instruments TI99/4A, and it was brilliant for its’ time.
Haven’t tried this yet, but I’m hoping that the speech synthesizer has been incorporated.

Unfortunatelly the speech synthesizer is really slow in this emu :(
