Ultimate Pandora Magic Stick (U.P.M.S) Updated

Back in October (see here) we covered OverfiendX’s compilation of tools responsible for creating the Ultimate Pandora Magic Stick. Its primary focus is to save yourself the hassle and time when it comes to the knitty-gritty task of flashing any custom firmware, reviving a bricked PSP, etc… With that said, the team’s latest work is now available.
Changes:
Full Version:
- Removed all Sony prx’s and bin files from CSO.
- Added latest battery code from Cory, now works for fat and slim psp’s
- Added automatic battery eeprom backup when you enter the battery menu.
- When installing you can now see what is being installed and to what folder.
- Both 371 - 150KernelAddon and 371Update3 are installed to the GAME folder no more corrupt icons (thanks to 1 of our members)
- Jas0nUK’s elf menu is installed directly.
- Cory’s NandTool is installed direct to the elf folder
- NandManager is installed direct to the elf folder
Limited Version:
- This is an EBOOT version and has the same functionality as the full but without the addition of the Utilities, these will need to be installed separately.
Ultimate Loader:
- Added PSP Model detection
- Added USB access (ms0, flash0, flash1)
- Added Shutdown option
- Reorganized a few things
- Added a tools menu to access various tools (only 1 option atm)
- Added a few colours to brighten it up a little

Just curious…. I just recieve a 3.52 PSP Phat from a friend and I was wondering will this downgrade it or will I need a custom firmware psp to make the UPMS to downgrade the 3.52
i cant beleive its a noob safe pandora battery creator and magic memory stick installer how much easier can they make it this is so cool you have to have a psp that can run .cso

For those that can’t figure out what it is. It is every unbricking and up/downgrading tool on one stick and one battery in service mode. With the ability to be used as normal. If you ever tried to combined all these tools into one stick maybe then you would see what this is and what we have accomplished. If you still don’t understand then I’m truly sorry and wish you well in all your PSP endeavors.
lol nah i like the OLD upms itz waaay better lol and all i had to was run that cso and it instakked the ALLL filez i needed to install custom fw to slim or unbrick the slim also downgrade fatz and unbrick them itz vrry cooool

Can I use this to downgrade my PSP slim from sony firmware 3.72? I stupidly upgraded when I bought my PSP.. N00b question I know but well I am one :DP

yea this app is f*cking awesome. Didn’t really see what the big deal was at first but decided to give it a go. The biggest thing i got out of this was that it let me use my pandora battery (that i made by breaking it open and removing that certain pin) as a normal one! Thanks for this great app!
When I try to install U.P.M.S it says “U.P.M.S Folder already exist. ” and I have never used U.P.M.S before >.> Also I tried taking all my ipl’s and the ipl folder off my MS.

i did the step 1(all of them)
i already have a pandora battery, and when i try to do the step 3(install fireware with utilities and without) it did:
copying file : ms0/150.pbs……..
installing trio …..
installing full 1.5……
reading and chaeking ms0:/150.pbp
ERROR WHILE INITIALIZING: 0×80ca0002
and it brick my psp every time…. So i cant install this memory stick

UPMS can’t brick your psp as it don’t write anything to the flash, some people are thick as shit.
Regarding the error of 0×80ca0002 i thinks it not the correct file size.
is it because i dont have the right pandora battery?
You need the official sony 150 and 371 eboots.
Rename them to 150.PBP and 371.PBP respectively and place them in the root of your mem stick. ;)
i already did it…
it brick my psp because when i got the error it freeze there and then when i restart the psp with the memory in it brick it. i did it like 5 time
Listen, UPMS can’t brick your PSP, your psp don’t boot because you prob have a fake memory stick, that’s what you get for being cheap, I’ve had no probs and I’ve use this on a lot of fats and slims. This is 1 cool app. Just not for nooby noobs who don’t know how to use it.
ok this the best thing ever , and im using it with my main card and battery , all i can say is PERFECT just installed 3.71 m33 on a slim and on my phat psp to try it out works like a charm nice work
Copying 150.PBP to UPDATE.PBP takes waaaaay too long. Wot r u reading and writing 1 byte at a time?
You must be using a Fake card then, or just copy the UPDATE.PBP to the memory stick yourself, then the installer won’t copy it. This is what I always do.
No its not a fake card. Fine I can copy the file myself but the utils takes forever to copy as well. It is a useful app but a bit slow thats all.
Must be your psp then, perhaps it’s time for a new one, my ta81 installs really fast, so it must just be yours.
Yeah this app is so easy to use its ridicolous! I think a 12 year old could use it! works FLAWLESSLY and its impossile to brick with it cause it dosent write to flash :)
Can someone tell me what are the advantages and disadvantages of a PSP SLim being modified to CW.Is it possible to play ISO and CSO on it from MS as PSP Phat does?

i cant access my ms root… my psp slim dissabled it with there new update…my psp version is now 3.95…how can i downgrade to 3.71m33-4…and 1.50….? b.t.w any one with a new psp slim with a frimware over 3.80 wont be able to access the configure system..so dont temp to unless you get the hack system from dark alex…he is the best …better then the rest
