the manual method didnt work for me. i followed the guide and then when i killed that first guy with the syringe the screen was like kinda fuzzy and grey?
did it on the iso, saved it as cso. but i figured that doesnt. matter. idk man.

seems to me, that the program is unable to find ma iso, even though its in the same folder as the patcher.

just drag and drop iso on to exe file :)

hey i tried manually tried to patch it n the game just crashes when loading the 1st level, so now got to turn the cso in to iso and then use this patcher, ill tell you if it works.

im guessing you need the full iso. i havent actually tried this yet. but maybe thats why alot of people’s arent working. theyre probably using isos that have ripped content.

also im sure there is a readme. that’s what theyre there for you know!

This auto patch worked very well. I kept the iso in the mem stick and from there, I’m able to load any level without problems. Good job!

guys ime soo stupid, the file was a CSO, not ISO, sorry for wasting your time. lol, good game anyhow!

So can the iso be converted to cso after the patch or do you need to load it to the mem stick in the iso format?

it working for me now, make sure you have a iso not a cso, the program will patch the 51 files. i wouldnt recomend converting it to cso unless ur have a mem stick smaller than 2gb

Heres what to do. Put the mahunt ISO (make sure its not CSO) in the same folder as MH2Hack.exe.
Then. Drag the ISO onto MH2Hack.exe.
A command prompt will open up.
It will scan the ISO and then start patching.
When it has finished, a message will say “patching complete.”
Then its done :-) Enjoy your Violence

by chance, does your iso need to be a specific file name? i converted to iso and dragged the iso unto the exe and it “scanned” it for about 5minutes then said something about no instance of the iso found.

Ok guys, you need the FULL untouched ISO not the one that you are dl illegally from torrents for this method to work. However I know what is giving you all problems. THere are issues with the UMDGEN and temp files and folders when saving the image. For a foolproof method you will need to get the image of the game somehow, use UMDGEN to extract the WHOLE image to a folder. Now manually change all of the files for the hack yourself (don’t have to worry about delete origina stuff, just open and edit and save). Now open UMDGEN and create a new compilation. drag the folders from the extracted image onto the open window (make sure that you get the folder structure the same… etc psp_game first) and save in the format that you wish. In order to save a correct image you will need to search for dummy sectors (one of the big buttons on the top) before you save. Just click on the button, have it search for you and it will do the rest. When it is done just save the image and play. I know that this may take some extra time but believe me with all the time you have already spent messing with the screw ups of the other method (temp files being lost and the lines of codes being “reinserted”) this will save loads of it for you in the end.

i kinda liked it better w/ the effect filters i mean i could still see what was going on but it gave more emphasis on the killing and overall feel of the game. but its neat w/o the filters either way

does any1 have the problem with the patched MH2 crashing while loading the origins level?

think ill just pass that level with the unpatched MH2.then play the next level with the patched 1 n c how it goes

Hopefully this will help some for any experiencing problems with the cso conversion from UMDGen 2-4, an alternative I have used now already 4 times for what I have heard now on this site so far about the UMDGen Issue which I have experienced and the ” no instances found ” message.

Remember Danny Kay’s ISO Compressor 1.4, use that if you have a cso file and then convert it back to an ISO from there then drop the ISO onto the Manhunt 2 Auto Patcher, it will patch.

It may take a little while after this but do not touch nothing but be sure to chech but there will be 51 files patched in all, hit any button and have some sweet ass fun…lol

If you have the 990MB CSO that’s going around, convert it with YACC Yet Another CSO Converter and patch it. There is no error in conversion compared to UMDGen.

i just dragged and dropped a download ISO (not CSO) into the exe file, converted to CSO (after patch is done) and put on psp… work fine for me.

Glad to see that it’s helping some people out. Guess I could have put the usage in the readme but thought the usage printout in the program would be sufficient. As for the claim that it only works on the untouched iso — this is not true. I made this program to patch any iso since the ppf patch that is floating around will only work on the untouched iso which makes it useless on rips.

there is a rumour going round that manhunt 2 is gonna get pulled off the shelves. so i would advise everyone to download the uncensored iso
