I’ve been told by some that the deleting of the files then replacing makes UMDGen crash when making the ISO/CSO. So if that happens to any of you, try editing the text file and just over writing it. I was able to delete them and replace them no problem… but for people having that problem, just over write it. Hope that clears some up.

I just tried it and it starts OK, but when loading it gets about 10% in and then powers down the PSP. I might have to try it again. Perhaps I ought to try the original cso pre-hack.

I got it to work this time by not deleting the files before adding the edited ones, but by overwriting the files. Works OK now. Although to be honest, I don’t really know what I’m looking for :)

I’m Having a Problem with GLVLSET.INI, When you Extract them it will Just Overwrite the File that you Just Edited and When you’re Finished with it and Delete the Files you Just Edited Create an Image File it will Need the GLVLSET.INI and LVLSETUP.INI that Means you Only Make a One GLVLSET.INI Copied to All Folders A01 to A18!
So I Think you’ll Only Have to Delete All GLVLSET.INI to All A01-A18 and Copy the Edited GLVLSET.INI to All A01-A18, I Tried this Method but I Think I Have Done Some Mistakes Coz When I’m Loading My Load Game it Just Shut Down My PSP!

I’ve done it.But I found a problem:when u ready to execute,the background became darker and darker,and I can’t see the execution clearly,that really disappoints me.

this is cool and all… never want games to have to be censored, but if you like the game, buy it, then download the iso to crack… you realize that by pirating you are screwing over the games you love in the long run, right? just a thought by someone who makes games for a living…

It’s still missing a few killing scenes for it to actually get the adult rating. The one coming out in Netherlands includes it all. This is just a semi-fix.

under the requirements list it says “Manhunt 2 ISO/CSO (find that or rip it yourself)”. I was intending to buy the game and was wondering if i can purchase it and still be able to make the mods to play the uncensored version? If I can; can someone explain how?

I followed the above steps, and my game froze after it loaded maybe like 20%. I made sure to edit each level independently and not use the same file for each and it still didn’t work. The patch did not work for me either. Any advice from someone who got this to work correctly? My game works fine when its just the regular iso edited.

The only way you can get this working for you is if you were to copy the game to your memory stick as an ISO/CSO/DAX file. There is no way to enable it while playing it on UMD… at the moment anyways.

I tried patching it manually twice. everytime i try to remove the recomended lines and i save it to cso, i run it and its still censored.when i stop playing and put it on UMDgen again, the files show that the lines have not been removed(even tho i check b4 i save). after i did it the 2nd time and the censorship was still there, i gave up.now im trying the patch that was posted by RiPPED, c how dat goes

would this same method of editing the text of the iso file work on the Wii/PS2 consoles? Assuming your console had a mod chip able to load back-ups and homebrew apps. I have MH2 for PSP and Wii and would love to see the Wii version uncensored!!!!

Wooo… It works fine now. I transfered it to another memory card. Turns out I had a SNAFU memory card.
This is ace though, it even works on the M33 NO UMD driver.

Just wondering if this is how it works. I got the game, I patched the ppf to the iso(Thank you to who ever made that). I then used UMD Gen and compressed it to .CSO. The game works great and is really fun, but I’m not sure if it’s right. When you go for a kill, sometimes you can’t see the kill, just blood squirting over your guy, but other times you go for a kill, and your guy stabs them right in the face lol. Have I done anything wrong? Also is there any way to know that the patch has work by not showing the gore? (I know it’s a stupid question but I’m just asking?) Thanks

If sony didn’t want hacked psp’s they should’ve done something about it a long time ago. If take-two didn’t want leaked uncut Manhunt 2’s they shouldv’e done something about it. This is the only way to play the game uncut and therefore, I and millions of other people are going to pirate it.

Ok guys, you need the FULL untouched ISO not the one that you are dl illegally from torrents for this method to work. However I know what is giving you all problems. THere are issues with the UMDGEN and temp files and folders when saving the image. For a foolproof method you will need to get the image of the game somehow, use UMDGEN to extract the WHOLE image to a folder. Now manually change all of the files for the hack yourself (don’t have to worry about delete origina stuff, just open and edit and save). Now open UMDGEN and create a new compilation. drag the folders from the extracted image onto the open window (make sure that you get the folder structure the same… etc psp_game first) and save in the format that you wish. In order to save a correct image you will need to search for dummy sectors (one of the big buttons on the top) before you save. Just click on the button, have it search for you and it will do the rest. When it is done just save the image and play. I know that this may take some extra time but believe me with all the time you have already spent messing with the screw ups of the other method (temp files being lost and the lines of codes being “reinserted”) this will save loads of it for you in the end.

you get some real dumbass’s on this site first thing when ure manualing patching REPLACE THE FILES-Meaning dont delete them from umd gen finaly make sure you left the level ini and the glevel ini on ure desktop from aes-01-18 and only the single file of the level ini in the sysdir
the end result should be a far lesser filtered game but you will still get flashes of black if ime wrong correct me,but make sure its constructive before posting it. -if this helped my pleasure-

Oh and if you downloaded that popular cso version of the game open it in umdgen the you can simply turn it iso via the save button

when a cso is in umdgen it opens up like an iso its just a different ext

Okay I’m a N0ob. I can admit that, but Im not an Idiot; I can follow directions. Now i just downloaded the Manhunt 2 torrent,Patched it manuelly, Bought a 2 gig mem. Stick duo, and Im still having Problems. Now im not going to get into them, but I do have sum questions that require very simple straight forward answers. #1 Im running sony’s 3.40 firmware, Does this firmware Even support ISO’s or Do i have to Downgrade to a Custom Firmware? #2 It’s occured to me I need a Program to Play ISO’s on my PSP, I cant just drop them into My games folder. What program do I need To play Manhunt 2? I have UMDemulator but i Read about Fastloader also. Again do those Programs even Run on 3.40 firmware? I’m a huge Fan of ManHunt and Am just trying to enjoy the sequel. Thank you for any Help in advance.

hey just found out using the auto patcher for .dax and .cso censored images WON’T work so don’t waste ur time looking for methods. only workz wid .iso uncompressed images so download and patch an original .iso then compress it!

Use the 900Mb torrent thats got the most seeds on mininova, then use the auto patcher, stick it on 3.71 m33-2 and above with a 2Gb card, et voila instant bloody violence in all its gory.

you can’t downgrade anymore without using pandora battery especially with that firmware. Pandora battery can be bought for 18$ flat.
