Open Source NAND Dumper v0.1 — for the Slim & CFW 3.XX
greg | October 11, 2007
My main homeboy over at zh.psp-hacks.com enlightened me about this release; I’ve yet to see it anywhere else, so here it is — an open source NAND dumper for the PSP running 3.xx custom firmwares. It works on the Slim, too. cory1492 has released this work based on the original developments by Dark_AleX and Mathieulh.
What good is a NAND dump anyway? Well, it won’t serve the average Joe any real purpose; although, hackers and developers can analyze the dump in hopes to find exploitable vulnerabilities.
See readme.txt for known issues and other related info.

“What good is a NAND dump anyway? Well, it won’t serve the average Joe any real purpose;”
Yeah ? What about the average Joe owning a PSP Slim ? What if he brickes his shit ? What then ? Oooooh yeaaah… HE CAN RESTORE THE NAND AND UNBRICK HIS PSP. Isn’t that a “real” enough purpose ?
touché
damn skippy
word up

Is there any talk of a mod chip for the slim? This program would really help with a mod chip.
The average person wouldn’t have homebrew on their psp…
And you dont need a nand dump to unbrick your psp, even the slim, by the way.
Um, read this: http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?t=82859
I had that problem with the looping and I used pandoras >.> 3.52 m33-4 ftw man!
I agree. Most people don’t hack theirs. Greg you could have mentioned that and won. Tsk tsk.
ok…im a noob but im running 3.71 m33-2 on fat psp. so im guessing its a good idea to nand dump. so the read me tells me what to do with the ond_3.xx folder but what do i do with what was in the src zip?
me angry :(
lol for some reason
XD that first comment was good.
The nand saved my life, well, not really. But before I upgraded to 3.71cf using pandora, I saved the nand on 3.60cf….and from that I restored 3.60cf a few days later…and EVEN downgraded to official 3.60, which I copied that nand.
All things aside, if you have the NAND you can upgrade or downgrade in a 1/3 of the time it takes pandora or installation methods.
me i upgraded to 3.71 but i wanna go to 1.50. How can i do that?
On a slim? you cant don’t try.
On a fat, check the forum there are instructions.
no on the fat 1
whats the point for having a nand dumper for a customfirmware??
How about creating a nand dumper for pandora ! would make a lot more sense and would be a lot more usefull!!!
Does someone agree ?
nice nice thanks.
no a regular psp i have the version 3.71 but i want to go to the version 1.50. How can i do that?
You don’t.
imagine, a hackers custom custom firmware that doesent have the official and instead some person makes there own firmware based on there hacking skills, it will still have some of the same features but be GREATLY different, homebrew capabilities, iso capabilities, THAT would be awesome
What is nand-dumpep use for ?????????
Its used for removing un-needed question marks at the end of your typings.
its for turning Savers into Losers
