PSP MAME4ALL v4.7r3 Hires
greg | October 10, 2007
TTYman has released the next iteration, making it numero trois, of his PSP MAME (Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator) port — PSP MAME4ALL v4.7r3 Hires. This emulator is based on the latest GP2X MAME4All 4.7 release. Specific features detailed on the download page.
Fixed from 4.7r2:
- Sounds now are near arcade perfect, with minor gliches in some sound chips emulations;
- Gold (CPS1, System16 and Neogeo) specific emulations are now stand-alone, as require different z80 cpu implementation;
- Improved performance with sounds, oldies with 0 frame skip and vsync on, others with auto-1 and auto-2;
Fixed from 4.7:
- 133 MHz in menu and while paused, for battery saving;
- VSync really works now;
- Corrected build configuration and Makefile, so sounds in various games are now back;
- Correct fixed, div2, sw scaled and sw stretched resolutions, with autocentering;
Known Problems:
- General audio core with some gliches;
- Sounds are absent in some gold edition emulations (minor neogeo games) with near perfect z80 requirements;
- Preliminary Analog stick support doesn’t recognize very fast movements;
- No rotate support;
Has anyone built a MAME box using the PSP Slim & its TV out functionality? ;)

Fantastic…Love to play the MAME games on PSP!!
Thanks TTYman, keep up the great work
hey first post
excellent to see another release, i thought the project has died off until the rss feed showed this up.
MAME ROCKS!
Five Thumbs Up
lol a little to slow with the post bro, but anyways great job with the emulator!
unreal!!
Does Grand Master tetris work now? Only game I want to play :P
will this work on 3.71 firmware??
of course not. just downgrade by using the pandora battery and you’ll be able to use this
it does work on 3.71 m33
he mentioned 3.71 firmware, not 3.71 m33. pretty sure you know the difference
I haven’t been able to get it working on 3.71 M33. Can anyone provide any pointers?
> Has anyone built a MAME box using the PSP Slim & its TV out functionality? ;)
Eh…? Dorky…
well lol. but my point is its wrote for the 1.5 kernal so unless eloader loads it on a slim that aint gona be happening, until it gets ported to the newer kernal
There was an earlier version (August release) of this ported to 3.xx firmware that works on the slim. But apparently not a newer one for some reason.
MAME is the sh*t. Love this. Please keep the updates coming for PSP…. Your work is loved by many.
Peace out.
>Has anyone built a MAME box using the PSP Slim & its TV out functionality? ;)
nope, cause there still isn’t any joystick support.
I love this emulator – playing classic games on my PSP is great.
Do any of the PSP MAME emulators work with the ‘newer’ classics like Mortal Kombat 1&2 etc?
There’s Mortal Kombat 1 in the working list of this MAME version, so it probabyl works.
This is shit, btw.
In the readme-psp.txt file, the install instructions say that you have to “Recreate zipped roms with included ClrMame compatible .DAT files (v0.34-v0.36 mixed roms).” Could someone please explain to me what that means?
when you find out can you please let me know, If i do ill let oyu know as well . my email is NashoneA4@aim.com…Thanks
When you find out please let me know,too? my email ardress
ekatai@aol.com
Why does everyone spell it hires instead of hi-res. If the situation was MAME4ALL hires people (I don’t know how it would do it but it’s just an example) then it would be okay. But in this case, you should spell it hi-res. Just to let you know.
Downloaded it! Installed it! Having fun with my MAME roms. Keep up the fine work!!!!
i am new here and in psp world so please dont shoot me :) :) :)
i have the mame in my pc and many zips
i have the new slim psp
so if i download the mame , i can use it with the psp and i can play the zip games from my pc ?
Great! We can play Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arcade!
Wish-list: Aliens – The Simpsons – Ridge Racer – Rave Racer – Killer Instinct
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles works!
Wish list: Aliens – The Simpsons – Ridge Racer – Rave Racer – Killer Instinct – Street Fighter 3
how’s the speed on games?
u still cant play simpson arcade or anything like that yet only the oooold games
Hmm.. I might just try and make a mame box out of this for laughs, i’ve built 2 fullsize and one bartop before, making a mini one would be kind of cool.
Also, you don’t need joystick support, I’d just wire a real 8-way to the PSPs direction buttons, But if i’m going to make it in scale with the PSP screen, i guess i’d need to make my own small buttons and joystick. Either way, should be a fun project, and i’ll email my results to the owner of this site, maybe on a slow news day he’ll post them :)
can someone tell me, what i must do? i can´t play any mame rom, but when i start the same game on my pc mame emu then the rom worked. what must i do for the working rom on psp?
will marvel vs capcom work on the emulator
Hey all – I was just kkinda need a tad bit o’help –

I want that know, too
I would recommend you to speak English so everyone understands :S
Hello everybody!
I think Mikemania means, that he don´t know how he can integrate the ROM Files into the emulator to play them. Thats the thing I don´t know, too!
So, is there anybody who could complain it for us?
I will translate it for my german citizen, that he can have some fun with the Emualtor, too!
Thanks to all, who will help us!

Download ‘CLRmame pro’ program.
Unrar it, and a wizard will come up when you launch the program. First, Hit ‘Load Dat’, click on your ‘clrmame_roms.dat’ file. Exit, then in ‘Settings’ setup the paths according to where your roms are and where the converted ones should end, then hit ’scan’ button from the main menu. Exit. From main pop-up window again, select ‘non merged files’ from the center column and start the process. Copy new Zips to ‘roms’ on your PSP. Done.
it still didn’t work… can you explain it more detail please.. i would like to play striker 1945 iii and striker 1945 p can someone converted for me please thanks so much =)
