PSPMSX v1.2.1 (Final) Released
greg | October 2, 2007
Can’t stop, won’t stop, coding to the boogity beat… ZX-81 releases what he claims to be the final version of PSPMSX.
Ported from Marat Fayzullin’s original fMSX emulator and Vincent Van Dam’s SDL work, PSPMSX mimics the MSX, MSX2, and MSX2+ 8bit home computers.
PSPMSX v1.2.1 changes:
- New render fast mode (original msx size but faster)
- Option to prevent the blue led to be displayed when L or R are pressed
- Remove .png file when removing state file
- Bug fix: random pixels colors on screen borders
- IR keyboard works now also with in the keyboard settings/mapping menu

omg really!!!!!!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (no seriously, who cares?)
probably people who aren’t 12 and would love to use this for nostalgic value.
You sir (or kid) are an a██!!! ppl like u are the ones who ruin the psp homebrew scene, dont like it, dont post anything, simple as that, ZX-81 is a genius, that dude never sleeps just coding and porting emulators, he is a machine!!!! so go back to playing with urself, YOU read carefully, will never be a great coder like ZX-81!!! dumbas█!!
amen
You’re an asshole. This is the reason the hombrew scene is dying. People work their ass off for your enjoyment and this is how you treat them? You really are an idiot. I for one thank ZX-81 for this contribution.
ay, where do you come off calling biggie, biggity? go back to listening to the atari’s u fuckin numbskull
i actually meant boogity — totally different tune dude. I don’t listen to that Atari’s crap.
I sadly agree with the first post,
anyone know what merkuhalfweed is on about?
that boogity rocks, keeps my keys codin!
Just because few people here will use it, doesn’t mean it’s not important. Every homebrew created keeps the PSP running at full speed. Even though I’ll never use it, thank you VERY much ZX-81
im 19 but it may seem a poc but i think the old sonic games.maybe this emulator is aimed at older people.maybe there ar classics
Too many human seagulls in the scene…bunch of ungrateful, thankless scavengers scraping up whatever freebees they can get and then fight with each other over which scraps they like and don’t like. brah brah!…you don’t like it….don’t use it…no need to comment poorly on someone’s work…go ahead and code something that’s worth ‘caring about’…bunch of seagulls…brah
lol, but true
@all: thx
Zx
your welcome, keep on coding!
you’re awesome brotha…all of the emus you’ve worked on are on my memory stick…it’s great to replay all the games i used to play…thank you very much!
Nice work. Thanks for all you do.
Thanks zx-81
I know I’m one who will use this emulator. I have tons of msx/msx2 games, and I’m glad for any advances in the wonderful emulator that zx-81 releases (although the msx emu had never given me trouble in the past it is good to have it updated)
Again thanks zx-81 for all the great emulators you have released in the past, and hopefully more in the future.
MSX systems were really important part of my childhood, so I’m really happy to have a decent MSX emulator for my PSP. Thanks, Zx-81!
As for people who thinks that there’s no point of having a MSX emulator in their PSP: You obviously haven’t played many of Konami’s great (and some even exclusive) MSX games (The Maze of Galious, King’s Valley II, SD Snatcher, Penguin Adventure, Metal Gear, Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, Castlevania, to name a few), as well as Compile’s great shooters. You have NO idea what you guys are MISSING. ;-)
listen… stop saying people who make comments like that are ungreatful… I have donated to dark alex and even to the creators of the n64 emu….. sure you can spend 10 hours a day mastering the YO YO… but your time is better spent doing something else.. this release is useless, sure its great people are adding to the “scene”.. but instead of wasting your time with this gayness, why not spend it doing something USEFUL? and as for pekka123, those games are shit, how about palying the psp release of metal gear solid? wait, thats not 1337 enough for you I guess.. get a life dude
wow! so disrespectful!! heres on for you: CODE YOUR OWN DAMNED EMULATOR! stop being a kid just cuz you didn’t ever play it is no reason to dis it! i like all the emulators on the psp, good work zx-81.
Merkuhalfweeded… what a sad fellow.
