Virtual PSP Slim Modder Lite

It didn’t take long after the PSP Slim’s release for both software & hardware hackers/modders to tear the device apart and see what’s up.
We saw the Slim’s disassembly, its firmware get dumped, and as a result — M33’s new custom firmware. The list continues to grow as the AcidMods crew begin pimping the already Sony-pimped version of the PlayStation Portable.
Unfortunately VPSM doesn’t work quite as expected under FireFox; so you may watch the video as a teaser, if you will. Otherwise, Internet Explorer users shouldn’t have problems playing with the web app.

Hmmm… I already have 2 psp’s, I’m still debating on getting the slim or not… It’s cool to see how fast hacking/modding the slim has progressed.
Man, i get tired of coming to this site and seeing a bunch of crap for/about the damn psp slim. Sony did this so that way all the hackers and modders focus so much on this “slim” model to piss people like, me, off that still wants to use the original psp… blacken the cursed psp slim!
oh and anyone reading please please take a momment to scroll up and looke at what kind of psp is above the wrench… lol, its gonna get changed now that i mentioned it…

I doubt they’ll ever remove the original PSP from the logo up the top. Its like the flag that all the original hackers/modders/devs marched under in the battle to show people and sony what the PSP was capable of. Who knows, they might change it but it’d just be sad.

Meh, I don’t get the big complaint about the slim. Is it a massive upgrade? No. But then, it’s not marketed as such. It’s just a hardware update, not a PSP2 or anything. As M33 has shown, it’s quite hackable. It’s changed almost nothing, really, from the original. It’s not marketed at people who have a PSP, but at people who don’t. And, really, anything that helps widen the scene is a good thing!
