Custom Firmware 3.60 M33 for PSP Slim Released

Pandora’s Battery is the key & PSP Slim homebrew is now reality!
Amazingly the M33 Team has released the first custom firmware for Sony’s new PSP Slim. There is however a slight catch — call up your fat friend who you just finished teasing — because you require his/her older [fat] PSP in order to proceed with the initial installation. Tsk tsk, we knew you’d come crawling back!
All the steps are detailed in “readme.en” for English readers, and “readme.ru” for Russians.
3.60 M33 for PSP Slim has all the features of 3.52 M33, except the 1.50 kernel support, as that kernel doesn’t work properly on psp slim (hardware problems, screen problems). 3.60 M33 will load homebrew from GAME, GAME150 and GAME360 directories, but all will be executed with 3.60 kernel.
This mean that some homebrew done specifically for the 1.50 kernel cannot work on 3.60 M33. However, the adaptation of code to 2.XX+ kernels is not difficult, and homebrew developers can port their applications to work in these firmwares.
And to answer your next question: “is M33 gonna make a 3.60 cfw for the fat psp’s?”
The firmware as it is flashed in the slim psp’s is only for psp slims. Whenever Sony releases an updater, we’ll support both, fat and slim psp’s, but we are not gonna make a custom firmware using 3.60 slim dump, because it is not done for the fat psp. Stop listening stupid rumors of kids: we are 103% sure that Sony will continue releasing firmware updates for all psp’s. Moreover, the 3.60 firmware was done before 3.52: the pops, for example, is a clone of the one of 3.50/3.51. So it has nothing new for fat psp’s.
There you have it, one for the books! Kudos team.

This error is known! Try ANOTHER computer (on Win xp), or ANOTHER memory stick. (I forgot, which way help that time).
!!! This problem in computer hardware/software/settings, try another computer.

hey guys i am really pissed off do to the fact that i cant get this to work when i execute the program after installing Pandora’s box memory stick part it says to do the mspformat.exe and the other one but the just pop up really fast and disappear in other words it does nothing i think and when do ya think an easier method will come out thanks vary mush to thos who help .
hey are you using windows vista? cuz it wont work on it. only windows xp. and what you need to do is format your mem stick in your psp first try doing it a couple of times before trying to format on the computer with mspformat.

im having trouble with ipl block file. When I run it in Cmd Prompt, its says the following:
“PSP MS IPL Installer
Load IPL code msipl.bin

I’m having a little trouble installing, I see instructions, but when I use Pandora it just stays at 3.60.
And I bricked my phatty…Please, throw me some help…
I’m sure the battery part works cause the screen goes blank, but have power. Tried x to install, no blinking memstick led, so problem is probably with memstick setup. I was a lil confused, but thought I did right, but apparently I screwed up big time. My Slim is still like normal, but Phatty is bricked. How to fix? Do I need another Phatty? I can’t be screwing up my friend’s, so I really need some help.
I think I figured out the memstick problem. I can’t get the msipl.bin to run. It says to run that with msipl.exe and I don’t have that. It didn’t come with. Or am I still wrong? I don’t know how to fix a brick if I can’t figure out Pandora’s Battery…Please help

1. Use mspformat to format the Memory Stick logically-I extracted everything to a new folder and ran mspformat-lil dos box shows for quick sec and disappears, nothing happens.
2. Execute “msipl” application on the PC with the msipl.bin to write the IPL to memory stick. I don’t have that app, it didn’t come in the rar.
What can I do?
If I click on msipl.bin, it just opens the window that wants me to choose a program or use net to find program to open it with. Can somebody help me out, please?

The pandora battery can be used for both fat and slim, but the files on the memstick are different for both
well i backed up both sticks so i was thinking just replace when i wana go back and forth but if i dont have to do that it maes it even better

Love M33 CFW for slim and Noobz Pandora is great. Wish I didn’t have to have a mem.sticks for each hack though. I had to buy 2 new mem. sticks for them, all I had was 4gig sticks.
you can always delete the files of the unbricker, put your slim hack files there, run it on a slim, after you simply delete the slim files and put your unbricker files, and move files around as much as you like.
Also, you can format your magic memory stick within the PSP and it won’t loose the IPL data.

u can use back ur pandora battery & pandora memory card (unbrick Fat PSP) and add pandora_slim & pandora_slim% folder with 3.40.PBP & 3.50.PBP in pandora_slim folder.
Then
Run the fat psp with the pandora memory stick inserted, but with a normal battery.
Run the pandora_slim program from ur Fat PSP.
Then
Insert the pandora battery and the memory stick in the psp slim and click X… 9 seconds later the PSP slim will auto shut-off.
Now, u got ur PSP Slim running on 3.60 M33.

Okay… I hacked my PSP Slim to M33 3.60 using the pandora battery. It’s been working great the last couple of days (No probs w/isos, pops or homebrew), then I wake up today, expecting to play a few games on the Slim, but when I turn the thing on… the XMB is entirely in Japanese and when I try to access anything on the XMB, I get an error message!!! Is anyone else having this problem? Is this a “Time-released” bricking system that Sony has installed on the internal memory or what? Help!!!
