iR Shell 3.62 Update
greg | September 8, 2007
AhMan has released another maintenance update for the popular multi-tasking PSP shell replacement. Avid PSP homebrew’ers around the world will recognize its name and cheer — iR Shell! Hurray! iR Shell! Hurray!
3.62 changes:
- Now fully compatible with Team M33 3.52-3 & 3.52-4 CFWs.
- Enhance the alarm clock function to support PSP suspend mode which means the alarm will still be triggered while your PSP is under suspend mode (sleep mode). The alarm volume will always be at max and is independent of your PSP volume settings. You will still hear the alarm even if you’ve muted your PSP volume. Thanks to Adrahil for providing the alarmlib source code to illustrate how the magic is done.
A work in progress is also noted… Be warned — it will cause your pants to tighten:
The previous Youtube video by StoneCut shows the 2 Player PS1 games via usbhostfs using 2 PC joysticks with remotejoy out put is only a proof of concept. Having your PSP connected to a PC to play 2 player PS1 games may not be very useful. I’m currently working on 2 Player PS1 game support via 2 PSPs using WiFi adhoc and I need to purchase a 2nd PSP for testing. If you want to help, you can use the following link to make a paypal donation. To show my appreciation, those who donates more than US$10 will be added to a private support forum which you will have access to eariler beta builds and support. Since the release of iR Shell 3.6, I’ve received 2 donations. Thanks to Jeffrey Y. and Toan L.
You must install iR Shell 3.60 before applying the 3.62 update.

How do you launch homebrew in the irshell? I placed an emulator in one of the folders (Rup) and get an error everytime I try to load it.
Thanks Ahman, another smashing update.

A great addon! Any student who needs alarm clock will now have it! TOP homebrew!
Awesome. :D
is this just an app that you load or is it a firmware type of thing please reply cos im a noob
can you access a portable hdd using ir shell? going to afghanistan soon and me and my bros would love to not have to use a cpu as a portal just to switch out some stuff.
There is a portable USB Device that you can hook up 2 Devices together and transfer files from one device to another. If it works for a HDD and the PSP I have yet to seen or heard of it working. It was on G4Tv as one of their Devices they reviewd. It was a device that you could hook up 2 usb’s to it and the digital screen acessed both device files and folders. Thus being able to tranfers files to one device to another’s folder/device. Search out “portable usb file transfer” or check out G4TV.com and see if they have that review for that device still.
it dont work but the old irshell does work on 3.52 m33 4
