I noticed that too after trying to un-register them and re-register them. I blocked that error message from the Explore also.
http://trading-post.sytes.net:6969/forum/download.php?id=382
I'm not gonna change the version ifno cause it was only to try and help you out. But this one has them blocked on the Explore too. You just won't be able to see icons in the ListViews is all.

After doing so. Rerun the Extreme Link and open the Explore. If the errors still happen then it's something else. But I highly doubt it. Could be that you're on a different version of the dll's

The shell32.dll or the Comctl32.dll is one he ones that's causing the issues. Make sure you have done a windows update. They also could not be Registered.

To restore this DLL, choose Start, Run, type regsvr32 /i shell32.dll, and press . (The /i switch stands for "install.") A message tells you if the command worked. (You may need to restart Windows to see the effect.)

Read previous statement:
I narrowed it down to these 2 dll’s
SHELL32.DLL
Comctl32.dll
Search your comptuer for these 2 files. if you don’t have them. Then that could be your problem. Theres 2 other places that Extreme Link extracts the icon from a file and places it into A Lv in Extreme Link. And this is where you’re having the issues. Let me know if you aint got one of them.
