Watch YouTube videos directly on your PSP, that’s what I’m saying! Japanese developer NekoMiMi (I think… correct me if I’m wrong) has achieved just that. Before using PSPTube you’ll need to sign up a dev account at YouTube’s developer page.
Open up “psptube.cfg” under the corresponding firmware directory, find the line beginning with dev_id, and between those quotes, add your YouTube developer id. Now enjoy the season finale of Lonelygirl15. (haha, *points and laughs at you*)

…and I just did try it out and it’s coming up with a no videos message… does this stream the YouTube videos or just play the .flv’s?
when u get the message no videos message hit circle and enter a search
mine just shuts off after i get that message
Hmm… everything worked. Right up to the part where it says no videos. Hitting circle causes my PSP to shut off. PSP 1001 FW 3.40 OE.
Good start however. Hope it continues as there is clearly a good chunk of people willing to throw the alpha version on for testing and trials so this should encourage the developer more. Keep it up.

hey how do you set the developer id. i made the account but i dont know how to set the ID it say look at he config but their is none
it works perfectly. sometimes it doesn’t want to play but when you keep refreshing the page it works. the onlt thing is that the thumbnails don’t work, but hey it’s alpha version so i guess more updates to come
Nice! Very nice! It’s a bit hit and missy, but what the hell…. YouTube on PSP…. Best homebrew so far I say. Let’s just hope that the developer sticks with it and develops it further.

If you put it in ‘game’ and you aren’t getting any luck, move the folder to ‘game350′ or whatever firmware version your using (Eg. ‘game340′ if you got 3.40). Or you can change the homebrew folder in Recovery mode. IMHO though, just move folders. It’s easier.
did u use circle? thats the ok button. how come mine says no video?
mine does nothing after it says “Starting SearchThread….” I can still click home but nothing else works

for the starting search thread probelm you have to put your psp in 3.55 kernel mode or 3.40OE-A kernal mode so it works.

ok this is what i found, when running 3.51mcc the 2.00+ kernal psptube didnt work, but when i upgraded to 3.52 mcc, it did work

unzip the psptube and go open 100 folder if in fw 1.00, 1.50 if in fw 1.50 or 200over if in cfw copy the folder inside of the folder to GAME if ur in fw 1.00 or 1.50 Put in GAME340 if in cfw 3.40 oe-a if not then put in folder that has GAME FW# open the psptube.cfg and lokk for this ; ‚¾‚³‚¢B

alright i got it working had to make a folder called 340 and put it in there and turn off all my plugins to get it to work.

This is not working with 3.40 OE, just get “no video” I can press all keys but PSP just shuts down after about 30 sec’s
never mind I got it working, just use PSPTube which is in the 200over folder, put the PSPTube folder in your GAME3.xx folder and it works fine
BTW make sure you put your dev ID in this line
dev_id = “”
copy paste it between “”
once you see the “no video’s” screen press O to enter your search

im on a WEP wifi and i have a psp 3.40 oe-a and a sexy black theme and it has a no vid bug and freses and does nothing screw this program i give up
am using 3.52m33 and can’t get it to work, so screw it.
I got it working. Ok people, for those of you who can’t get it to work on 3.40 OE-A This is what I did:
I got the 200over kernel setup one, then I used the config file Mr_knockout graciously gave us. Put all those files in PSP/GAME340/. That should do the trick.
For some reason Mr_Knockout’s ID works perfectly while my own ID doesn’t. I don’t understand why. Even if I replace his ID with mine in the cfg, I still get the ID error message…

ugh is it just me or does the video and audio always stay at 0%
nvm for some reason the buffer went up on mr’s anyways i reccommend u press [start] for a little bit so ur video can buffer
oh btw, if you get a line of text below the Video and Audio buffer percentage that means the stream failed so press X and O again to retry streaming the film.
just to tell mu, if you are using M33 CFW 3.52-2 use the 2.00+ version
I’m getting a weird problem were certain videos show up in black and white with the color kind of streaked across the screen.
I m running on 3.03oe-c , i put “over200″ into my psp GAME folder… running 3.03 kernel..
but i get a error that says” The game could not be started.(80020148)”
Same here! i am guessing it must not be complatible with this CFW.
i tried putting over150 into my GAME150 folder.. it worked.. but when it comes to NO VIDEO… i did what they said,press O… 30 sec later my psp just shut off
if ur in fw 3.40 oe-a then copy the folder in 200over in the GAME340 folder and it should work
Doesnt seem to work on M33 3.52-2. My kernel is in 3.52 and I place the files on GAME150. I always get initializing network. . . . . . failed
Even with Mr Knockout ID and even putting the files on GAME352.
Is anybody having the same problems? basically, my problem is not the ID neither the files, is just the network problem that fails.
go to kernel and change it to 3.52. make sure its in the game folder not game150.

Just for tell u guys that FAILED at initializing network… you HAVE to set your wireless network to no security , coz the homebrew dun works with wireless security or password…
i don’t have any kinda securety and i still get the initalizing network error

ok then if it doesnt work with wireless security, Ill wait for another alpha release that supports security because I cannot trusth anybody in my building.
I cant be enabling and disabling password everytime just to use youtube, Ill wait for another alpha.

well if i got pass the network part with security on and i get to the no video screen then it just freezes and turns off but yeah if i have to turn off my security for this then this hack may not be all that good

If you have firmware 3.51 or higher it wont work.
Well guys… it seems that this version is buggy or alot of problems , didn;t have a decent tutorial for all the firmware , lets waits for the better version..I bet the they will upgrade it greatly as this has high potential.
