Just when you thought it couldn’t get any easier, PSP Upgrader/Downgrader v1.11 hits the scene with a vengeance. Bob_joe has released a new version with the added touch of custom firmware Leaked Edition. Users will also notice PSP Upgrader/Downloader v1.11 [Lite] features direct downloading of the required firmware EBOOTs. Otherwise — everything else comes packaged within.
Side note: unpatched GTA:LCS or Lumines UMD is still required depending on which firmware you’re downgrading from, 3.03 or 3.50.

Stores don’t normally carry unpatched stuff unless you’re lucky. I came across GTA LCS unpatched selling for $40, while the similar copy patched costs $25 new and $18 used. Ebay is your best bet but like I said, be prepared to shell out the money for it. You can always resell the game later so not much loss.

first you have to downgrade your 3.10oe to 1.5 then upgrade to 3.03

I am still an oldschooler with FW 1.5 using Devhook to emulate FW 3.11. I’d like to update to CF 3.52 M33 but have some questions. Please help me out here…If I upgrade how do I downgrade again back to fw 1.5 if I’d ever want to? I also believe it allows me to still use iso’s? I don’t want to have to start carrying my UMDs around if I don’t have to. Please no smart ass remarks….just some to the point answers.

killerkellerjr: once you have installed 3.52 by M33 you can then downgrade back to 1.5 firware by using the recovery option. For your second question, yes CF 3.52 M33 does allow iso to be run. hope that helps
I recently upgraded to 3.52 M33-2, and I tried to recover back to 1.5…it didn’t work. There was an error loading a prx? The good thing is my psp 1001 is just fine. The only game I can’t get to work is a homebrew named Laserix!
3.52 M33-2 is great firmware and I don’t really need 1.5 back anyway!!!

If you have GTA:LCS will it work? cuz im on a 3.50 and it says you either need lumines or GTA:LCA …but the instructions on the program said nothing about GTA:LCS

It didn’t work for me. A notice came up when I tried to install it saying it had “corrupt information” and that I should try to download it again, but I could never get it to work.

i have not tried it because I’m already on 3.52 m33-2 but i’m sure this upgrader/downgrader thingy is safe . since your’re on 2.8 you don’t need any game to downgrade…..now how lucky is that lol. just make sure you follow the instructions or whatever it has on there to have a safe downgrade to 1.5, then you can upgrade to 3.52 m33-2.

dex: it’s imposible to downgrade you’re 3.40 to 2.80. you would have to use this program thing and upgrade to 3.50. from then if you want to downgrade to a 1.50 you would have to use the Lumines umd to downgrade. battery is involved in upgrading or downgrading, make sure you have 75% battery left or higher to lower your chances of bricking your psp. i personally recommend 100% of battery though, but anyway i never tried it but i do believe it’s safe being that this is the second release so all the bugs should be out if they were any.

Sorry dude, you can’t upgrade from 3.40 to 3.40 oe. the only way for you to have a 3.40 oe is first you need to upgrade your 3.40 to a 3.50. the reason why is because the only firmwares you can downgrade are 1.00 to 3.03. since your on 3.40, luckily there is a downgrader for 3.50 so just update to that, and use the lumines downgrader. once your’re downgraded to 1.50, you can upgrade to 3.40 oe-a. also there is no program you can use to run devhook, games, and fastloader on a 3.50

once you downloaded a game, go into the root of your memory stick on your psp. you will see of course your psp folder and some other stuff. go into the psp folder, once in it you will see a game150 folder and a game folder. all of your hombrew games, emulators, roms, etc will go into the game150 folder for it to work

no, once you are at 3.50 you have to use the lumines UMD to downgrade to 1.50. then you can upgrade to 352 M33 without the umd. so there are no requirements for using a UMD to upgrade from 1.50 to 3.52 M33. Only when downgrading your 3.50 to 1.50 you would need lumines

hmmmmmmmm it’s been along time since i opened up my UMD door to play sony’s games it probably has spider webs on it lol. you know, it kinda brings back memories a little. now instead of buying them i usually just download them and guess what…………..FOR FREE MUAHhahahahahahahaha. hope this helps.

I’m now on 3.52 m33-2 , im looking for some cool looks to make my psp my own, how do i get some nice interactive interfaces, and load screens, i saw one online somewhere with an moving eye that replaced the sony load screen, things like that, any help or suggestions?

It’s Ash by the way , lol typo but anyways, you would have to download the 3.50 eboot file to upgrade his 3.11 psp to that firmware. and yes lumines is required. the firmware i would probably suggest is 3.52 m33-4 because it’s the latest custom firmware and everyone knows new is always better right? lol. actually it really depends on the custom xmb’s, because certain xmb’s only work on certain firmwares so that;s why people would sometimes choose a lower custom firmware.

And what’s the easiest method. Any help is appreciated. And no, I can’t find Lumines… I’m in China. :D
yes you can upgrade to 3.40 oe-a with your current custom firmware. TA-082 psp’s can do this, because i have one and successfully upgraded. well there isn’t any other easy methods only one. just download it, and read the readme carefully of couse.
