Custom Firmware 3.52 M33-2 Update

Talk about an exhilarating Sunday… Not only has Team M33 released M33-2, the update to their 3.52 custom firmware, but “The Two Coreys” premieres tonight! Wow!
3.52 M33-2 changes:
- Document.dat of psx games were broken due to some important changes in popsman.prx and now is fixed. Plus, now document.dat does not need the same gameid as game which is played.
- The compatibility issue with irshell loading psx games in usbhost/nethost has been solved.
- Changes in recovery:
- Removed the advanced config option “use isofs on UMD inserted”, as it is not useful now.
- Added “Format flash1 and restore settings” in Advanced.
- Added speeds 20 and 100.
- When in usb mode inside recovery, it is impossible to turn PSP off.
- The chineses and korean languages did not work in XMB, because they crashed homebrew and recovery. The issue has been fixed, but korean font is not there, so you need to take it with psardumper from official updater, and put it in flash0:/font/kr0.pgf.
- M33 driver: fixed SBK07, now it work.

Yes you will need to install the seplugins to the appropriate folder on your MS. Examples of plugins would be the new iRShell, CWCheat, etc, although i’ve had trouble getting CWCheat to work.

ok dude…find a downgrader that works with the firmware you have so that you can downgrade to 1.50 official firmware the most up-to-date one is from the noobz team i think you can do it on 3.51 but you need the game lumines…i think you are screwed for awhile on 3.52 official…then M33 or DA firmware must be flashed from 1.50 because homebrew isnt enabled on official firmware above 1.50 (this isnt strictly true, but close to it)…that is why downgraders need these exploits through game titles to enable homebrew (HEN=homebrew enabler)…you can upgrade to this on a cfw (custom firmware) like DA oe firmware because homebrew is enabled on those and that is why they are hacke…i hope this helps

hey i didn’t upgrade to 3.52 yet and im puttting the upgrade and the update and accidently run the update one instead of the upgrade and now my psp bricking please is there anything i can do please.

Ez Installer for recovery to 1.5 from recovery mode. Read the readme carefully. You can access your memory card from recovery mode.

I think you need to put the eboot.pbp (1.5 fw file) in PSP/Game/Recovery/ first.

In the 3.10 OE’ era, there was an user that made available a zip package containing EVERY POPS version, up to 3.11.
Is there somebody here that could make the same with POPS versions 3.40, 3.51 and 3.52? This way we could start using POPSLoader more easily!

Has anyone seen any problems using an 8GB mem stick? I updated to M33-2 and bought one. I formatted it, then copied the contents of my 4GB stick off to the 8GB one. If I run some homebrew from the 8GB they hang after the PSP splash screen for running a program, requiring reboot. If I run the same program off of the 4GB one, it works fine.
Never mind! Not an issue of the CFW at all. Some homebrews don’t like running off of 8GB mem sticks. PSP2600 doesn’t like it at all.

Did you rename the files correctly? 150.PBP and 350.PBP, and not 1.50.PBP and 3.50.PBP. I accidentally put the extra decimal in there and got the same error message, but everything went fine after I renamed them correctly.

How exactly do I get ISO’s to run? I reformatted my memory stick and I see an “ISO” folder. I place the ISO’s in that folder and when I try to load the ISO from Game folder, it gives me, “This Game Could Not Be Loaded”… any help? And I do have 3.52 ME

Hi I just update to this one and still could not get the “Remote Play” to work on my psp. When I plug the psp to the PS3 to register it. it saids “no psp connected” I am currently on M33-2. i found out the problem.. i check the adv configs

Execute BOOT.BIN in UMD/ISO (currently: enabled)

i had the Execute BOOT.BIN in UMD/ISO enable and the Use isofs driver also in UMD-inserted mode enable causing the iso for tekken dr not to work…
so i disable them both and left the
(Plain modules in UMD/ISO (currently: Enabled)
now everything works in both no-umd and umd mode…

Been on 3.52 M33-2 for a week now and all is good. I have test a large amount of iso/cso’s with the Sony no-umd selected and all worked perfectly. Wireless, Web browsing, Homebrew, standard 3.52 features all working fine. No lockups or auto shutdowns at all. The M33 stuff is very solid.
