Holy firmware updates Batman! Along side the Sony PS3 firmware update, we now have 3.52 for the PSP. Of course PSP Hacks does not recommend updating to 3.52; if you do, say goodbye to all your hand held homebrew. Perhaps we’ll see 3.52 M33-X, then it’s a safe upgrade. :)
Check back for the official changelog whenever that’s made available at the PlayStation website.

Well I will when Team M33 hacks it. Added support for network titles means they are improving their ps1 emulator, so may Lammy’s guitar will sound better in Um Jammer Lammy.

Well i guess sony is pulling out all the stops to patch any problems they have.. But with every upgrade you’ll find a hacker finding ways to break it.

thats true…i still dont understand, why sony is so agressive against hackers. homebrew is not just playing super-mario (as they say) and has given so many people the reason to actually buy a console

what….. no. they dont have a ps1 emu to begin with. the added support for network titles just means u now have to update your psp for a useless matter just so that u can play your new store bought umd. really the only thing that support added for network titles just means that under current firmware is a diff number thats all that it really does.

How do you explain the fact that I’m able to take my own psx cd, dump it into an iso image file, Use ZingaBurga’s POPStation GUI to convert the iso image into an eboot, and play it on my psp. Google pops. Explain how I’m Playing Gran Turismo and Um Jammer Lammy at full speed? How long have you been away? Sony’s psx emulator has been out for about a year now, and they even announced the plans for it about 2 1/2 years ago. Your a dumbass.

I’m not pissed off. I’m just trying to say that you should really do your research before talking about something you obviously know nothing about. And it makes no difference if someone thows my psp in a lake because they’re not expensive at all; only about $150 each so I could just go buy another one.

And besides… It’s not REALLY an emulator, as the ISO is converted to a format playable by the PSP.

L, you have no idea what you’re talking about either. It is an emulator, the eboot is simply a container for the ISO. It doesn’t magically convert a PS1 game into PSP code.
I suggest doing some research yourself. It’s not right to insult others for being misinformed, while you yourself are.
the new version of PS1 emulator might solve some of the games problem tat POP gives. like FF8 and RE2.

SONY has all the fixes .. (because the got THOUSENDS of people working for them)!
But they need a reason to upgrade to a higher firmware (so whenever there’s an CFW coming out they can change the number and possible encryption).
I mean look at FW’s like 2.71 and now 3.51 and 3.52 and some other i forgot all small fixes like added support for demo’s and now added support for PNT’s

I wonder if there is gonna be a 3.53, 3.54, 3.55, etc…until the redesign b/c it’s gonna be 3.6 according to the video clip they showed on here, too bad the 3.6 firmware hasn’t leaked out somewhere and the M33 team could be cracking it as Sony releases these minor useless updates, personally i dont think PS1 emulation on PSP is that good due to the lack of Dual Analog sticks and the lack of the L2/R2 buttons….As far as I remember, even the first game(s) on the PS1 used the L2/R2 buttons….I think instead of worrying with the PS1 emulation, they should add more features, like AVI play-back or something along that line….
Support for more codecs would be nice yes but AVI is broad spectrum.
I think it’s just impossible get all AVI to work but divx, xvid and mpeg 1 and 2 would be nice.

Actually I feel much safer now since doesnt matter who uses my PSP, my network update is disactivated (with ultimate flasher something) whenever you press it, the analog stick will be activated to move through the XMB :D (I love this feature since you never know what might happen if you let a noob use your PSP)
Now, I want to know the changelog of this FM so bad! I know it has more compatibility with PS1 games and also security strengthen.
Why doesnt sony let us use freakin AVI and MPEg files, I hate that so much…
My PSP is just for me to touch and play with. Its called ownership. Certain things are not ment to be shared.
AVI is never going to work.
For all the video noobs out there they can’t work on a AVI codec because AVI is a container not a codec.
MPEG is a codec, DivX is a codec AVI isn’t
im sorry to say i get the noob of the year award i ran my psp over with a fucking forklift all that servive was my 2 gig stick but i have hope that the new psp that comes out in sept will be as versitile as the old ones … hell we need a page on this new p.o.s lol what do u think????

I wouldnt trust the new PSP. New motherboard and FM 3.60 are making me think that Noobz will have to spend some time trying to find a glitch in order to downgrade it (or just hack it and make it Custom) because I heard PSP Slim will NOT work if it detects a lower FM than 3.60…
u do know that on OE firmwares u CANNOT update with official fw updatess right? it says error “dadada”.

Hi, I was wondering how you can downgrade this 3.52 since I updated from 3.03. I read somewhere that some guy said to update to 3.52 since he was working on a downgrader for it. I havent used my Psp in like months. Someone plz help me downgrade, he told me I need Lumines. I just got the game on ebay for like $67 and just updated to 3.52. How can I downgrade?
take note u have to upgrade to fw3.50 & not fw3.52 then u have to use lumines to downgrade. remember if u update to fw3.51 or fw3.52 so u need to wait for looooooooong time to downgrade………….that mean no homebrew cfor u.

im tryna crack it my self i downloaded it and dumped the psar file wen sony release a firmware like 3.51 then 3.52 that only means theres minor new things like to stop hackers but if thy release an update with a big number change then youl kno its worth cracking
