SMS Plus PSP 1.2.3 — SEGA Master System / Game Gear Emulation!

In case you haven’t fetched the latest from SVN, here is Akop’s most recent SEGA Master System and Game Gear emulator, SMS Plus PSP. A week or two ago we saw SMS Plus PSP makes its homebrew debut, and now, well actually, 3 days ago, 1.2.3 was released. Fans of the classic console (and/or hand held) will certainly dig this version, check out the changelog below. Kudos Akop.
SMS Plus PSP 1.2.3 changes:
- 20% speedup in emulation speed with new 8-bit video rendering
- Option to turn off FM emulation (an additional 48% improvement in emulation speed - all games now play at 100% speed with VSync enabled)
- Various small bug fixes

plz help i’m i missing somethihng i put the sega roms in the rom area but they wont show???
Try renaming the extension.
changed to .sms and the name shows up umder roms but it wont play loads to a blinkscreen but thnx for the first idea- now how do i fix this one
what are some good games for this emulator?
I would suggest Defenders of Oasis (RPG), Sonic Triple Trouble (Platform), Double Dragon (Master System version), Outrun (racing), Maze Hunter (Not 3D one)

don’t know how to get the svn i guess that all i need and or file images :(! i’m so hopless help a noob out!!!
First off, reading your earlier post. You should not need to rename files. .sms/.gg are the only rom images this emulator will play.
Having to rename a .smd to .sms is like renaming a .txt to a .exe and expecting it to run like a program.
You will need to locate Sega “MASTER” System or Game Gear Roms to play this emulator. Romworld, would be a good start. If you have memberships, underground-gamer, or Demonoid would be EXCELLENT torrent sites for roms.
renaming was necesarry for me and it works now. Sorry to say you don’t know everything.

Great emulator. Bug found though. When changing the keys, pressing triangle to reset defaults locks the system.

Downloaded this emulator and love it!!!! Plays all my old SMS games with NO problems (yet)!! Keep up the good work!!
For those who can’t decide what good rom to play with this emulator, I recommends ‘Shining Force Gaiden’, ‘Shining Force Gaiden II: Sword of Hayja’ and ‘Shining Force Final Conflict’.
Note that both Shining Force Gaiden and Shining Force Gaiden II were remake into Shining Force CD for Sega CD.
They’re all great turnbased tactical RPG!
