PSPUAE v0.63 Birthday Edition!
greg | July 15, 2007
Happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear PSPUAE, happy birthday to you. One of my all time personal favourites, PSPUAE — the Amiga 500 emulator. The entire crew over at pspuae.com have given the emulator a well deserved update. This next Beck’s is for you! Woooo…………

v0.63 Birthday Edition changes:
- Removed alot of un-needed code, to gain usable memory (GnoStiC and cmf)
- Optimized code to gain speed (GnoStiC)
- Added alot of defines to gain speed (FOL and GnoStiC)
- Added define to allow 10.5MB of memory, not limited to 6MB anymore (FOL and cmf)
- Changed the delay and latency on sound to gain speed (FOL)
- Changed PSPUAE cpu cycle unit to 1, gave stable speed increase (FOL)
- Removed 0 from Auto Frame Skip, pointless as it slows emu down when hitting 0 (FOL)
- Removed Interpol code as it was broken since 0.60, removing this gave speed increase (GnoStiC)
- Fixed memory selection, now only valid amiga memory configs are selectable (cmf)
- Fixed Crash, where if no Backdrop was present PSPUAE would crash PSP (FOL and cmf)
- Fixed Interrupts setting in sound, as it was still produing sound (FOL and GnoStiC)
- Added AutoZoom check to PSPUAE reset command, so each reset will turn off AutoZoom. This stops the crash with certain configs, when AutoZoom was on. Simply Press and hold L & R Trigger and SELECT after reset to turn it back on (FOL)
- Removed support for E / X-Loader and Tiff exploits as it was causing crash in Custom Firmware’s. A seperate E / X-loader tiff version is released seperately (FOL)

Amiga 500 Emulator? WTF? Wow, what can’t you do with a PSP these days..? Nice.
my birthday was july 10 im finnaly 18 sorry i just wanted to say that anyway this looks cool ill try it out
Happy Birthday!!
thanks :)
for all fw?
Happy Birthday Amiga! Thank you very much for this PSP-UAE update, the Christmas version was something but if you managed to finally sync Amiga’s great audio capacity, thanks a million!
(I’ve needed to hear the music from Shadow Of The Beast III again for like, 10 years…) I do appreciate you guys for keeping this system alive and definately making it possible for PSP. :)
sheeot. :(
You have a
MAJOR BUG
with a right-screen justification when switching between kickstarts, disks.
The initial load seems ok but it has to be reloaded from XMB to fix the justification problem once it occurs, and it happens immediately after switching kicks or ami-reset every time.
Well, maybe a couple adfs that didnt work on the Christmas edition now seem to work on this version. Platoon does anyway. High Seas Trader, no. Elvira no. And i liked the game Lost Patrol alot back in the day but it WILL NOT WORK on your psp-uae (works on PS-UAE)…Its as if it dosent recogonize it as a file period. The same ADF works fine on PC.
The sound capacity IS somewhat better but still mush crackling and rate problems.
Sorry, but even thought I love the background images and splash screens, you’ll have to fix this justification error alone for me to swich from the Christmas edition.
thanks anyway for you efforts
oh…i see its about messing with the display options. Auto-Zoom and Scroll-lock…something…i dunno. i guess i’ll just have to mess with it and see what happens.
seriously, whats up with the game Lost Patrol and why will it not be recognised by PSP-UAE?
yeah, that auto zoom thing. what do you want from me? it looked crazy at first and what was I supposed to think? cut me some slack. i really miss how amiga sounded though my stereo with original chips and such. The sound qaulity is better, just…
maybe i am going crazy or something. I need to go eat or…who is this? can anyone hear me> this is the strangest life ive ever known.
Excellent news!
can this play dragon’s lair? thanks
yeah, most amiga disk images should work on it, but some have framerate problems.
i can NOT get this to Work Fullstop, i have the Kickstart Roms, but all it does is Crash……:o(
Is it Because i am using the newest Firmware 3.51 M33, if so i hope a Fix is being worked on!!!!
Amiga 500 with an extra 500KB memory is still somwhere in my closet, it was a number one back in the days. My favorite games on it was Megalomania, Populous, Space Crusade, Moonstone, Disposable Heroes, Apidya, Wings of Fury, Super Frog and obviously a Secret of Monkey Island. Guys who work on emulators are my heroes in general, but this one is always a reason for celebration. I’m going to test it right NOW. Thank you for your efforts developers.
it works better than the CE just remember if the screen goes off to the right, hold L+R+SELECT i believe. its something to do with that auto something but its not a bug.
yeah- i love emus and PSPUAE and UAE in general too…just, why no Lost Patrol or Elvira on PSP-UAE? its weird because you select the .adf and it dosent input it into the drive like as if you selected any other .adf – but overall, i love this updated UAE(PSP)
…not that the CE (.62) did…Load Lost Patrol, I mean. but the Platoon game works on this update and not the older…plus, the sound is alot better…just SOTB3 must still be too hard to sync or something…even for the PC-UAE. so yes..thank you thank you…im not complaining
[ENDCLI] :)
It keeps crashing on OE – I tried placing the files in Game&Game150, but all it does is just crash! Help!
