Brooktown High PSP Game Review

Every now and then we at PSP-Hacks are tasked with the honorary privilege of reviewing PSP titles. This one in particular is Konami’s Brooktown High, reviewed by PSP-Hacks ninja, Russell Jones.
Japan has been a long time contributor to the world of gaming. The Japanese have given us entirely new genre’s of games, and contributed some of the best titles and spawned some of the greatest franchises to date. Millions of people in the Americas have enjoyed countless hours of such classics as , Final Fantasy and newer hits such as the series of Brain Age titles to recently hit our shelves. And now they introduce to us the latest concept in the simulator world, Dating.
When I first popped Brooktown High into my PSP I didn’t know what to expect. I had never heard of a dating sim before, let alone played one. Published by Konami and developed by Backbone Entertainment, Brooktown High plunks you down into the life of a highschooler trying to keep good grades and pick up as much of the opposite sex as you can manage.

Never seen a game review here before pity its a crap game oh and 1st!!!!!!!!
Exactly Statto – that was the FIRST thing in my mind when I logged in today. This is my opinion:
There are some other sites with PSP in their name. I didn’t like any of them, because they make me filter out all the commercial crap in between my homebrew news. That is why I was always loyal to PSP-HACKS. This latest development just ruined my day. Review of an commercial title on our beloved hacking site. What is going on? If I need to know if some commercial title is good or not, I’m certainly able to do that anywhere else. This was clean homebrew community, what is wrong with you guys? You have to find the way to make more money by something else, this move will make me go away. And I believe I’m not the only one who feel that way. What is wrong with you Greg? Did you feel like we need more punishment these days? It was just a joke, right?

It’s a very good game, try it out, nice review, and yes, psp-hacks should also post game reviews. Why not? And Why not hacks for games? For example, don’t be limited to DA, he had his time, he retired himself to protect himself, maybe he keep sendin’ the OE versions but in the underground websites, without posting on a website of him, like other group and people do…

My girlfriend plays this game but there are minigames to advance in the game (kissing) and my girlfriend thinks they are too hard.

I got curious at first but in a couple of hours u finish the game getting married and on ur way to college thats if u had good grades and kept straight up with ur girl till the end then u marry her.Conversations get repetitive.Give it a try u got nothing to lose only time cause dont even have to buy it….Well thats if u have custom OE…
i dont know what it is about your comment but for some reason im going to download this game just to give it a try. now before anybody thinks about anything i dont approve of this as being called a cool game just because of its game dating thingy.

Only name of the site should be changed PSP-SUCKS to better reflex the content. Move in to a right dirrection? Not for me.

I still cant’ believe it. It looks like some hacker hacked PSP-HACKS and put this up as a fake news to damage site’s reputation. If that is the case, someone should let us know, because if this is the new way how things will be done here, people have a right to know. Please be CLEAR about this – are you guys going to be just a regular PSP news site for now on with the commercial news, promotional lies and real news mixed together or you just stay focused on homebrew as always?
actually, I enjoyed it. I wouldn’t play it over again cause theres not much replay value but otherwise a unique game. good post none the less though
I’m sorry guys, it just blowing my mind every single time I think about it. Is this game better than lets say GTA? Hell no. And did anybody ever seen any review of GTA here? Who is dragging this crap in here? Why is nobody outraged as I’m about it? Or you guys are just gone already?

Actually, dating sims have been around for quite a while in Japan. First time I’ve ever heard of one being released in the US, though. (Not counting all of the Internet Flash dating sims.)
yeah i remember playing a few old windows hentai dating sims those weren’t bad at all hehe
I played this game the day it came out and beat it a few times. It wasn’t bad but the entire time I was playing it I couldn’t help but think of how much better it would of been if it was a Leisure Suit Larry!!!!
These dating games have been out forever in Japan hardly any of them ever make it stateside..even games like Rival Schools for the PSX which had a dating sim aspect were removed from the game when translated stateside.
Anyhow soo much negativity since DA claimed to have retired. Didn’t he give us enough? I highly doubt Sony is going to make the PSP any “better” than it is, I’m still running the 3.10 cfw even.
