Even with Dark_AleX leaving the scene behind, we will trudge forward and continue the on-going battle of PSP Hackers Vs. Sony! And to prove my point, Team N00bz have released an updated 3.50 downgrader compatible with the Japanese version (ULJS00005 and ULJS19005) of Lumines. The updated package works with US, EU, and JP versions.
Actually, 0okm and HellDrive have released their own fully Japanese compatible downgrader as well.
Both are said to function fine, so it’s up to you. Just ensure you carefully read the supplied documentation of whichever you choose.

See, I told you guys (or someone) to wait JUST a little bit longer for the Japanese Version downgrader to come out in the first downgrader post! And I was right on the money. Thanks to the teams and Ookm also Helldrive for racing to make the Jap version compatible!

Okay, I am sure Sony probably does browse this site. I mean heck, how else would they know when to update their firmware?
Though I think the chances of Sony actually creating something to put here, is highly unlikely. I think they need this dark side of the PSP to keep patching all their little security holes. If nobody hacked their system, and all of a sudden something came up, they’d be caught.
This site is actually a blessing for Sony. It keeps them informed about their security flaws. Though I still say, if they worked with the Homebrew crowd, they might be able to patch the holes, while keeping their software anti-piracy policy firm.
I know Emulation may be a form of piracy, but it is going to happen for the older systems. They can at least protect the newer systems, keeping their fans happy, but the pirates in the dust.

Wanna thank Dark_Alex for all his hard work! He’s the main reason I still own a psp, and, probably just as important, still have an interest in the psp scene! Without him, my interest would have wained a couple of years ago!

When will the 3.51 downdater be released cuz I heard 3.51 wuz cool so I installed that shit immeditately (my friend who reads cNet said so). newayz, i wanna burn some ISOz to my mem-stickz ‘n shit ASAP to impress my classmates.
You can’t impress them now for sure. Everybody knows a PSP is, except maybe a few teachers, no need to show an tell. And BTW, NEVER trust your Friend about PSP UPDATES! Friends don’t let friends update their PSP’s!!!!! Trust this site instead, and head over to the forums for help. Read first, search for your question, it’s been answered! If you can’t find anything of what you need, then Google.com is your friend.

Heh, I don’t think there has been any raw exploits since 2.81. I think Lumines *is* the only exploit after 3.11 so far. There may be others, which we will find eventually. I’d say there is a good chance they will find others in the future as well. Which will require the original UMD to exploit security flaws. I have my ideas, just seeing the pattern, but I am not going to say anything, as I don’t want to spoil it if they do have possibility.
even if D_A have quited.Noobz will still be there to keep your hacked psps “happy”(I havent hacked mine cuz I still havent found a Lumines copy but someday I will join this awesome world called HOMEBREW)

Very Very Very Necessary, because the exploit is within Lumines and the files REQUIRE the original UMD. GTA unpatched won’t work this time around.

it’s good and All But what good will this do if we don’t have away to play the New games that only work on 3.51 and up. What we really Need is a person to step up and take Over what the Grate DX was doing or if Not That Then Better Loaders =(
So a Japanesse version of Lumines is required?
European, USA/Canada, or Japanese. Any of the Lumines versions work.
