PSPoste 6.1 — Email Client Now With IR Keyboard Support!

Posted by greg

You must remember David Cummings, Ben Biron, and Sajeeth Cherian’s PSPoste? The only fully functional email client for the PSP — compose, send, receive, and organize emails while hoppin’ around WiFi spots.

So what happens when ZX-81 gets tossed into the developer mix? You guessed it! PSPoste is now compatible with your PSP’s new best friend, the IR keyboard!

PSPoste Beta 4 Main Window Screenshot

Aside from IR keyboard support, nothing else is new. See README-IRKBD.TXT for details. Enjoy!

Download PSPoste 6.1 for:
fw 1.50 | fw 3.XX OE | src code

- source: ZX-81’s web site

Check out the official PSPoste website for project details.

Why does this require a different version for OE? I thought that all 1.5 programs work on the OE versions? I was thinking of upgrading to 3.50 OE but this worries me of the compatibility of my 1.5 homebrew.

true. But there are version that are especially for OE. Also, when downloading homebrew for OE, it’s advisable to take the fw 1.00 version instead of the 1.50. As an extra advantage, you don’t get a ‘corrupted’ icon with the 1.00 or OE ones.

In Recovery mode you can hide the corrupt icons according to other people.
