PSP-PDA v1.3 Released!

greg | June 17, 2007

The man of the hour, ZX-81, has done did it again y’all. Keeping the homebrew scene alive with a fresh new release of PSP-PDA. And guess what — it now includes IR keyboard support!

Isn’t this what you’ve been asking for?

For those who haven’t seen previous versions of this great peace of homebrew, PSP-PDA is a set of PDA programs including notepad, music player, image viewer, address book, calendar, calculator, and clock.

Need I say more? …Well I have one more thing to say, props to Rob_psp for creating such a bad ass homebrew app.

That’s a good thing. I’m apt to get one now. And thank God he’s at least forcing updates on the front page, this summer’s about to be stale for the front page.

nice little app, this is the kind of thing that can be added to to make it multi functional and i have many ideas.

can i just note that changing the theme crashes the psp with the blue screen.

nice work

Maybee yours, both of my units are working hard every day. One with GPS never leaves my car, and my new, shiny white ceramic one have to be allways with me. I’m playing my UFO on it, Fight Night and Tony Hawk, plus I’m enjoing my camera. People do not have a clue I’m recording them, they think I just play my games. There is a ton of other stuff you can do with it, I love pimpstreamer and emulators. I have to break both my arms not play with my psp and I’m not alone. Most of my friends are even more enthusiastic about homebrew and aps. So psp collecting dust – not in my reach pal.

I don’t mean to cause discourage, but I think this app could use functions a little more useful. For example, we don’t need the clock or the image viewer since we have those on the XMB. The notepad would be pretty usefull, but for that I can just get the PSP Notepad homebrew. So I guess the only thing worthwhile would be the address book, the calendar & the notepad.

I’m not being negative, this is a great app with LOTS of potential and I’m sure it took alot of work to write, organize, and test the code, but I still think it could be better and more useful by adding PDA functions a PSP doesn’t already have

Yeah… not much updates lately.. everyones to lazy to do anything. Including Sony XD.
meh..

about the app: The Calendar/Calculator work great… notepad is a bit hard to controle (without the IR keybaord), and the music player crashes every time I try to use it… which is a same.. I would have liked to been able to listen to music and look at my pictures…

back to IRShell for me I supose.

You could use the irsmp3.prx (or something like that) to listen to music in your games or in the XMB. I use it all the time to overclock to 333 when using wifi.

good software. i just hope we do not stop here. i hope that you could release a software that we can sync it with in the computer. we all know how hard it is to type in the PSP itself. so why not create a software for the PC that we can type in on and then READ those things in the PSP PDA app. that function would really help, actually its the only thing that’s keeping me from throwing my palm handheld away! hahaha nice job guys keep it up.
