Etch-A-Sketch v1.0 Released

Posted by greg

Remember the classic “magic screen” toy? I think you all know what I’m talking about; doodle with the vertical & horizontal knobs, get pissed while trying to draw a smoothly curved line, violently shake the screen, and start all over again. That’s right — the Etch-A-Sketch — now on your PSP courtesy of developer webfeind.

Etch-A-Sketch Masterpiece

Buttons assignments:

D-Pad Up -> Move cursor up
D-Pad Down -> Move cursor down
D-Pad Left -> Move cursor left
D-Pad Right -> Move Cursor Right

Analog U-D-L-R all work like the D-Pad just that there are 2 speeds of movement based on how far from center you travel.I.E.
|< --Fast Left---|<--Slow Left--|-Center-|--Slow Right-->| …

Start -> reset canvas
Select -> save to ms0:/psp/photo/Sketch.png
Cross -> Speed high
Circle -> Speed low

The remaining buttons are unassigned.

Perhaps the gang over at AcidMods can put their heads together and come up with an ingenious idea to reset the canvas while shaking the PSP. ;)

    1. What folder do you have it in? GAME, GAME150, or GAME340?
    2. What is your kernel set to?
    3. You could just downgrade to 3.03 OE-A

    i couldve sworn they released a 2.81 downgrader ages ago.
    if not you can always upgrade to 3.03 and use the respective downgrader.
    which brings me to my next point. IS ANYONE WORKING ON A STANDALONE 3.03 DOWNGRADER THAT DOES NOT REQUIRE AN UNPATCHED GTA:LCS?? im getting pretty frustrated and about to upgrade to 3.40 because i feel like everyone just quit doing downgraders and just started doing other homebrew. either because theyre scared of legal problems with sony or just dont want to take the challenge.

    You can’t downgrade without GTA because the security hole is part of GTA…without the security hole, you can’t load arbitrary code, you can’t Downgrade…

    Sorry everyone, I tested it on 3.40 OE-A placed in the /psp/game folder, not game150 or game340.

    Hope this helps.
