CisoPlus v1.0.8 Is Available!
greg | May 1, 2007
kapoue3 has implemented yet another genius method used for optimizing compressed ISO images, I’m speaking CSO, yo. That rhymed.
Although the CSO compressed image format is nothing new, kapoue3 has done a terrific job tweaking & adding new functionality. Yup, CisoPlus is the key — to get the most out of your dumped UMD and memory stick storage capacity. Did that just rhyme again?
New in CisoPlus v1.0.8 is the option “-ext” allowing you to specify certain files that you wish to place in non-compressed (NC) areas. Files are specified by extension, so for example, to put all *.prx and *.xpac files in NC areas, you’d execute something like this (from command line):
cisoplus -com -MT -aud -vid -ext.prx.xpac “myfile.iso” “myfile.cso”
Included in the download are both binaries for Windows & Linux users.

Yup, CisoPlus is the key — to get the most out of your dumped UMD and memory stick storage capacity. lol, dope rhymes Greg
this needs a easy gui for the more average pspers.
someone tell a list of size of all the games, thist works really?
You mean CSO? or the compression selection? Haven’t used this, but my iso of Test Drive Unlimited compresses from 1.5GB down to just 900MB, not that i bothered lol, but just to see how it would compress, might be worthwhile come to think of it seeing as load times are short and there’s none at all during the driving normally lol, sorry off topic rant, just really enjoying TDU at the mo.
still doesn’t work in windows vista
Yep, second that.
I works on my Vista! Are you sure to launch from a command prompt?
Oops you’re right, was a bit drunk, it has no gui does it lol.
Cool! It’s the best CSO compressor around!
GUI!?! What are you that dim? cisoplus -dec/-enc somefile someotherfile. Ghesh how hard is that?!?! Not everything has to use the mouse or carry around some bloated unnecessary GUI.
GUI? Already working on a GUI for it. Been away for the last few days. The GUI will be inside the Extreme Link(1.5.0): Ciso… Menu found on the Upper left Icon. Windows Only! Extreme Link still uses the simple ciso.exe by BOOSTER and the Ciso Dos GUI. After working on the layout of that Command GUI and Other things. It’ll be released. Keep in touch with the Update checker in the Options form.
Quake
I’ve been working on the CisoPlus app and it Crashes constentenly. It only crashes after the app has finished with the compression and or estimated compression. Any one else have issues like this using it on W2Kpro?
